Here’s a Lesson for You: Only One Can Remain!
" This Tournament of Elements set is probably one of the best LEGO Ninjago Legacy sets that has come out thus far. Based on Master Chen’s palace in Season 4 of the Masters of Spinjitzu TV series, it is surprisingly accurate in its design. This set arrives with seven minifigures: Legacy Tournament Kai, Legacy Tournament Jay, and Eyezor, along with exclusive figures Jacob—Master of Sound, Bolobo—Master of Nature, Gravis—Master of Gravity, and the special 10-year anniversary Golden Lloyd. All of these minifigures are amazing, Golden Lloyd being my personal favorite. This set also encompasses many elements from Season 4, such as dark sorcerer Clouse’s Book of Spells, a collection of coveted Jade Blades, tapestries bearing the mark of the Anacondrai, vases for concealing a Jade Blade from the Skylor vs Jacob battle, and roller skates from the ThunderBlade event. As for the palace, it is two (minifigure) stories high, so one can reenact the battle from S1E2 where the Elemental Masters scramble to obtain a Jade Blade before their competition. It is comprised of five small sections that meet at acute angles to create an overall curved floorplan, and is styled after a traditional Asian building with “paper” walls and unique architecture. This is truly a remarkable set, and chances are it will run out of stock before long, so I recommend to get this set, especially if you’re a LEGO Ninjago fan. "

SPACESHIP!!!!!!!!!!
" I admit that the primary reason I got Emmet and Benny’s ‘Build and Fix’ Workshop was because it included a classic Benny figure, but this set has much to offer, even to those who are over the “4+” age guideline. The set comes with an Emmet Brickowski minifigure, along with the aforementioned Benny minifigure, so the characters are pretty common, though this version of Benny is only available in this and one or two other sets (concerning the LEGO Movie 2 wave, of course). As for the build, it is quite simple, due to the targeted age group. It comes with a façade Apocalypseburg building with spray paint cans and a fuel canister, a rolling toolbox with a variety of tools for minifigures to use, a miniature version of Emmet and Wyldstyle’s Escape Buggy, and an awesome little blue spaceship for Benny that encompasses a space rover in its design. If one is into classic space sets, I would highly recommend this one, and if they are into The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part Sets, I would suggest getting this set in that case as well. "

Only the Toughest Are Gonna Get Out of There Alive
" “The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part” has got to be one of my top-five all-time favorite movies, and it is awesome that it now comes in a Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy movie pack (complete with fancy paper case-slip). The feature film itself is truly amazing, and it is still hard to comprehend that everything, save the short live-action scenes, is CGI, for it just looks so real. The basis of the story is as follows (I just hope I don’t give away too many spoilers):
It has been five years since construction worker Emmet Brickowski (voiced by Chris Pratt) found the Piece of Resistance, stopped Lord Business (Will Ferrell) from using the Kragle to freeze the world, united the realms, and saved the universe. At this time, aliens have invaded his hometown of Bricksburg and destroyed it, causing Emmet and his friends, Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), who was formerly known as Wyldstyle, Benny (Charlie Day), Batman (Will Arnett), Metalbeard (Nick Offerman), Unikitty (Alison Brie), and the rest, to retreat to a dystopian wasteland they created called Apocalypseburg. As they live in this tough, dusty, and mature society, they are forced to grow up and grow up fast. Most of them master this, with the exception being Emmet, who hasn’t let the harsh circumstances crush his optimism and childlike innocence. Lucy warns him against his “weakness” and tells him that he ought to grow up, too. It is then that a alien with seemingly increased intelligence (compared to the previous Duplo invaders) named General Mayhem (Stephanie Beatriz) arrives and abducts the five aforementioned friends of Emmets, including his best friend, Lucy. Realizing that his friends would not have been captured if he had been tougher and overpowered Mayhem, Emmet decides that he needs to go after them, and meets a galaxy-defending, archaeologist, cowboy, raptor trainer named Rex Dangervest (also voiced by Chris Pratt). Emmet then asks Rex to help him become tougher, and the two of them go on an amazing adventure filled with plot twists and surprises.
As I said before, this is a great movie, and I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good laugh or just an intriguing storyline. "

You Are Surrounded By Your Element, Cole
" The Spinjitzu Burst - Cole set is a fun little toy that is very portable and can be used just about anywhere. While the build is not superb or intricate, the result is a cool little spintop that can hold a minifigure so said minifigure can perform the Spinjitzu Burst. Be careful not to discard Cole’s Burst if it doesn’t work right away, for one might assume that it is broken if one does not smack the launcher hard enough (but not too hard) and thus think that their product is faulty. With some patience, one can find the correct intensity of their blow to the trigger and have much enjoyment from that moment onwards. If launched correctly, Cole’s Burst will open up and spin, close while continuing to spin, and then inertia will gradually cause the Spinjitzu tornado to cease spinning. Enough said about the mesmerizing spinner, I would like to touch upon Burst Cole’s design. Burst Cole has a black hood with brown accenting (which can be found in some of the Legacy Ninjago sets), pants from the Ninjago series season 4 Legacy Cole figure, and an exclusive head and torso that have lava designs on them. One cool thing about Burst Cole that is not shown in the preview is that he has a Shintaro Hero Lion outlined in magma on his back, which took me by pleasant surprise. Though this set does not have a whole lot to offer for display, it offers oodles of enjoyment for anyone wanting to just relax and watch the spinner spin around wherever they are. "

Bust Through Emmet! You Can Do It!
" The Rex-Treme Off-Roader is a truly awesome set. With all that one receives in this set, what is not to admire? It comes with two minifigures, a terrified Emmet Brickowski and the ever-confident, galaxy defending Rex Dangervest, along with a great blue raptor with blaster gun, and a vicious Plantimal. While none of these characters are exclusive to this set, they offer a nice variety for play or display. In addition to these things, this set comes with, of course, the Rex-Treme Off-Roader, which can be rebuilt into a Rex-o-saurus Quad Bike or an Execu-Rex-o-saurus, complete with briefcase and coffee mug. Despite these amazing alternate builds, my favorite of them is the original version, the Off-Roader. It has four big tires perfect for rough terrain, two stud shooters to use on the attacking Plantimals, three seats for three minifigures, and a robust design only a Rex vehicle could have. The Rex-Treme Off-Roader is another of my most very favorite sets, and is ideal for any LEGO fan’s collection. "

Ha! 32-Thread Count!
" The Kai Epic Battle Set is a neat pack that any LEGO Ninjago fan can appreciate. It comes with several different buildable features, including two minifigures, a miniature fire temple, eight fire weapons, a kendo dummy, and a Spinjitzu spinner. To start, the minifigures are excellent. Legacy Kai has an exclusive outfit consisting of a torn white shirt with the Ninjagon letters V and S printed on it, special fire themed red pants, a red mask, and a new hair piece with a red bandana (which can be found in upcoming LEGO Ninjago “The Island” sets) that is very reminiscent of Kai’s headband in season 5 of the Ninjago TV series. Wyplash is a quite ordinary Skulkin minifigure with a rice hat, one who can be found in other sets such as the Monastery of Spinjitzu. The temple is a quick little build and adds to the ambiance of the battle. Kai’s fire weapons include two each of katanas, shurikens, nunchucks, and scythes. If one has a flat, smooth surface, they can roll the Spinjitzu spinner on that surface to aid Kai in his battle against Wyplash with a Spinjitzu punch. Overall, it is a great Legacy set, one that is sure to please both those who are long-time fans of Ninjago, and those who have just joined in the ninja action. "

The Gateway to Terra Kerana
" The Lloyd Avatar - Arcade Pod is an excellent little set with many play abilities and display options. This pod encompasses numerous weapon accessories and two minifigures: Digi Lloyd and exclusive Avatar Lloyd. While Digi Lloyd is quite common among Prime Empire sets, Avatar Lloyd is only available in this set, so once this pod is gone, Avatar Lloyd is, too. Avatar Lloyd is a surprisingly detailed minifigure, with his golden mohawk and pants (for the one-time Golden Ninja), open green hoodie and half mask, and a detailed and brand-new face piece, which features pixelation that resemble a goatee and shaved sideburns. As for the pod, it is styled to look like an old arcade cabinet, just like Jay’s and Kai’s, but this one is green, has golden dragon detailing on the sides, and golden pieces on the top different from the other aforementioned pods. Lloyd’s Arcade Pod is extremely popular and will probably run out of stock fast, so I would recommend grabbing this one before it disappears altogether. "

Let’s Chopsocky This Lemonade Stand!
" Jay’s Kendo Training Pod is travel LEGO at its finest. Compact and easily portable, this pod can be brought just about anywhere for fun on the go. Or, if it is a minifigure you are after, Kendo Jay is an awesome addition to one’s minifigure collection, for he is wearing his rare kendo outfit, which reads “ninja” down the back of the robes (in Ninjagon, of course). Accessories include an exclusive blue-accented kendo protection mask, shoulder armor, two kendo knives, and Jay’s signature flail. The pod itself is unique, with a special sticker on the front with alternating designs of the slit in Jay’s mask revealing his eyes or a lightning bolt. This pod is a must-buy for road trips, plane rides, or just for fun. "

Time to Get Down and Dirty—Ninja Style!
" Cole’s Dirt Bike is a unique set that will be selling out before you know it. Inside the packaging, one will find three minifigures: ninja Cole and Kai, and a Pyro Destoyer Serpentine Mummy, complete with their respective weapons (Cole has his hammer, Kai has his fire sword and two katanas strapped onto his back, and the Pyro Destroyer has a scimitar and shield). The Dirt Bike is larger than I expected it to be, and as for special features, it incorporates stud shooters on either side of the bike and has a moving handlebar for Cole to hold on to. The design of the Dirt Bike is quite curious, with treads in the front and a big wheel in the back, and it is very reminiscent of a two-wheeled tank. As for details, the rock features are a nice touch, the flag on the rear of the bike enhances the look of it, and the orange discs within the treads add an extra splash of color. I would highly recommend the Dirt Bike, for it is one of the most coveted LEGO Ninjago sets of recent times. "

I’m Skylor, Master of—Wouldn’t You Like to Know?
" This Ninjago Elemental Masters Accessory set is one of the best add-on packs I have ever seen. Containing Skylor, Master of Amber; Shade, Master of Shadow; and Ash, Master of Smoke, this set is an excellent addition to anybody’s Tournament of Elements collection. In addition to the exclusive minifigures (the latter two characters can be found no place elsewhere), this pack comes with a scimitar, two black katanas with sheath, a shield, two smoke bombs, a bow and quiver, and a sushi piece (after all, in seasons 4-9 of the Ninjago television show, Skylor does run a noodle and sushi restaurant). Both Masters of Amber and Smoke have hair parts for the minifigures to don when they are not wearing their different hoods. While Masters of Shadow and Smoke appear in Ninjago season 4, LEGO tossed things up a bit by having Skylor’s outfit be the one from season 6. All in all, this is a great add-on set, so it makes me sad to see how quickly LEGO has retired this product. "
