"I gave this set a 2/5 because I felt that the price was off the charts! Both Jay and Kai come in cheap sets to began with and I'm perfectly happy with the ghost minifigures that came in the sets let alone spending so much for just 4 minifigures! If you find the price per piece ratio it's 0.4 cents per piece which is ridiculous-save up your money for something else."
"The "Jungle Raider" is a cheap set from the tournament of elements and is very good for what Lego was trying to achieve. First off, we get two minifigs: Lloyd and Kapau-classic vs action. The car first appears in "thunder-blade" when Lloyd uses his powers to convert Chen's anacondrai buggy (I probably didn't spell that right) into his own vehicle in hopes to stay in the tournament and beat Camille. The build is nothing special but the end product is enjoyable to play with. Dual spring-loaded projectiles can be activated, the tires are made of rubber, and the set has suspension! Kapau doesn't get all that much except a double-dagger like weapon and a column with a jade blade on top-not much considering you're just a regular guy about to fight the most powerful ninja in ninjago with a super sweet jungle buggy. So overall, this set was a great buy and is such a fun little thing to mess around and tinker with."
"The Titanium Dragon is a set that was released as part of the "tournament of elements" line and has a nice new style for the Ninjago dragons. The first thing to note would certainly be this dragon's head which is brick-built! I believe this is the second brick-built head that has appeared in this theme (not exactly sure) but it looks, um...unique? The head has a very different feel to it with a more boxy approach however I think it still turned out quite impressive considering that Lego had to make sure it wasn't to sophisticated for kids to put together. The head is then connected onto a small mixels ball joint which is then connected to a large/regular ball joint which is then attached to the body-so yeah, the head/neck region has a lot of articulation. Moving on to the body, the saddle is very nice for this dragon and I love the use of the metallic silver pieces on the wings. The tail uses the mixels ball joints and has a frosty tip-achieved with a cool piece that has a white and blue color combination. The legs for this one I'm not all that thrilled about. The front legs are all fine and good with the exception of the big metallic silver piece that tends to get in the way. The rear legs, however, are a little small and I don't like the use of the large feet! The front feet are small and the back feet are huge! This doesn't look good to me at all and I would have preferred that the feet were all the same small size. One last thing to mention about the dragon is that it has another place with articulation. Shortly behind the wings there's a ratcheted joint-this move by lego was smart and effective (especially in stop-motions)! The "anacondrai" in this set receive a small defense with a few weapons and a chain-bola launcher. The outpost also seems to be guarding a key-this was fairly well done. In the episodes, Cole has to swipe the key from Zugu to save Zane but in this set, Zane is trying to get the key even though he already escaped...maybe this key is to unlock the prison in the "Enter The Serpent" set? The minifigures in this set are Chop'rai, Clouse, and Titanium Zane-all of which are good to get and two are even exclusive (this is the cheapest way to get Chop'rai too). So lets move on to the final rating: I'll say a 4/5. This set could have gotten a 5/5 but the price killed it a little. (The "Master Wu Dragon" just came out and it has the same retail price, 5 minifigs (2 more than this set), and the dragon, tea farm, and possessed rickshaw therefore that set would be the better deal). The titanium dragon is a great new build, the minifigures are all really good, and as for the anacondrai outpost, well, I'll just add it to my "Enter The Serpent" set for extra defenses. I would recommend this set!"
"Titan Mech Battle is a good set that I would certainly recommend to any mech collector. The set comes with Zane's Titan Mech and the infamous ghost mech. A spring-loaded shooter and part of Nya's Samurai X cave are also included. The two mechs greatly differ in size with the mech-en-stein turning out gigantic and the titan mech turing out a bit smaller. Their fighting styles are also very different with the mech-en-stiein using 4 long swords and the titan mech using a more slashing motion. That's about all there is to say, so overall, the mechs are great builds (but aren't that compatible if you want to battle them) and the minifigs are good, especially deepstone Zane."
"The Jay Walker One is a very large car who's soul purpose is to work as a vacuum and suck up ghosts. At first I thought this set wasn't great at all and the reviews I watched online didn't impress me whatsoever but the set certainly grew on me. I love the size of this car even though it's absolutely ridiculous and I love the big hero factory piece in the back which holds the captured ghosts. The Jay Walker One can actually hold one ghost minifig (with legs) or a couple of screemers. Jay can sit comfortably in the car as well-even with armor on and discs can be shot out of a large cannon. Three ghosts and one screemer are included in the set (along with Jay) and the selection is very good. My favorite minifig here is definitely Wail and his weapons are awesome. So overall, the Jay Walker One is a great set that I'm sure you'll enjoy-if you don't like it now it will probably grow on you."
"The Blaster Bike takes the title for the smallest set from this wave (excluding airjitzu flyers and polybags) and I feel is a decent set. The bike is very, very large considering ninja are supposed to be stealthy and not draw attention to themselves but I do like the color scheme and the barrel stud shooters located on either side. Aside from this, though, I'm not that big of a fan. I think the bike looks blocky and the pieces used are far to large. I would have preferred if the bike was a bit smaller and we got another small dragon for the ghosts-but that's just my personal opinion. The minifigs for this set are pretty good-we get Cole and Cowler which both have nice weapons. Cowler also has a small dragon to ride which looks ok. It's nice to get another dragon for the ghosts but this one doesn't look quite right to me. (Please note that this is strictly my opinion and you can disagree if you want). To those of you who are considering purchasing this item, I would save up $10 more and buy the Chain Cycle Ambush."
"This set was ok. I spent a lot of time saving up for the City of Stiix but I felt that it wasn't worth the money and was a lot smaller than how it appears. In the beginning, I was thrilled with the set-I loved Ronin's pawn shop, the ghost ship and the rock opening feature. (I also love how the building gets smaller and smaller as you get up to the top). This being said, my excitement quickly wore out. I didn't like Nya's speedboat at all and Ronin's loft was pretty pathetic. When I tried to play with the set I found that there was virtually no room to place minifigs and it's hard to get your hands in the set-or maybe mine are just to big. So overall I'll give this set a 4 out of 5 but I feel like they may be a little generous. Save up your money for something else, Attack of The Morro Dragon and Ronin R.E.X. are great choices. This set makes a better display item than anything else (I feel) so if you want a true play set I don't think this is the best option."
"I love it. Toxikita's Toxic Meltdown is an awesome set that has great play value. The set not only comes with Toxitkita's personal ride but also comes with a little lab. (The lab actually does use a fair number of parts). The lab has great features like the robot arms you can move and a sterilization chamber as well. The scientist included is studying something toxic (I assume) and that's where Toxikita decides to steal it. Toxikita's vehicle definitely looks strange with interesting parts choices and neon green and bright yellow pieces however, I like it. There is a toxic bomb deployer in the back and the helicopter blades spin nicely. The front cockpit opens forward instead of up and there are 2 pieces on the sides which can be brought up and down to close a minifig+ inside. (I like that they included the chain too). Overall, I was very happy with this set and was especially happy that I got Toxikita because I am a ninjago fan. I also got the set on sale which added to the value. This set is retiring soon so if you don't have it, buy it or you'll regret it! :)"
"The lego ninjago chain cycle ambush is one of the smaller sets in the ghost wave. The set includes 3 minifigures-Wrayth, Pyrrhus (exclusive), and Airjitzu Zane. It was a surprise to find that Airjitzu Zane was included because he is the only airjitzu ninja to appear in both an airjitzu flyer and a set. Anyhow, it's great to get Airjitzu Zane and he gets a cool jetpack/hoverboard. We also get 2 skreemers. The bike is quite large considering Wrayth just took a regular old motorcycle and added some ghost power but I like it-it has a nice size and a nice design. I especially like how they used the neon green chain pieces and crossed them in the front. The one main feature for the set is the chain-bola launcher-you get 2 chain-bolas stored in a crate and the launcher actually blends into the vehicle which is great! The last part of the set is a ghost vortex which has Zane's aeroblade in the center. Overall, I like this set-the bike looks cool, the ghost vortex is a nice inclusion, and I like how Airjitzu Zane was included. The only disappointment was Pyrrhus because they said he's exclusive but he's just Cowler renamed. Otherwise, I would recommend this set!"
"The master wu dragon is a great set that was worth every penny. And speaking of money-this set comes out at 6 cents per piece (full price) which is one of the greatest deals on the market! The set comes with 5 minifigures-Soul Archer, Hackler, Pitch, Cole, and Master (Sensei) Wu. We also get a skreemer and Wu's dog who appears to be a husky. The dog is armed with a crossbow and is identical to those in the lego city arctic sets. Sensei's dog didn't appear in the TV show but it's still nice to get in the set and adds a little extra play value because you can add dog scenarios. For the ghosts we get a possessed rickshaw which I absolutely love! There's storage for some discs and an action where you remotely shoot them out the front. All in all, looks great! For the ninja they include Sensei Wu's tea farm. It's fairly basic but it has a nice sticker piece for the sign and 2 flick missiles hidden on the side. The aeroblade is also attached in a new way which I appreciate. The dragon itself looks very similar to those in Asian artwork which I'm very happy about. The dragon also uses some fun building techniques-for example, the ears are made of recolored croissant pieces in the white color and they recolored Unikitty's tail to give the dragon a mustache look. Lego even decided to give the dragon underbelly detail which looks great. The wings are nicely done and the tail has a lot of articulation. There are even 2 yellow cups stored underneath. Sensei sits in a tea crate (I'm glad they made it different from all the saddles in the past) and in front of him is a stand to hold his teakettle which is in the blue color. On the side of the dragon there is a spot to hold Wu's weapon and on the other side there is Sensei's banner. Speaking of weapons, the weapons and accessories for this set are great and the weapons are scaled nicely-the minifigs can stand without a studded base. The only thing I didn't like about the set was that the detail on Hackler's shield (which also appears on the rickshaw) is a sticker. In conclusion, this set has so many inclusions, so many play features, and is an amazing prize! I would recommend this set!"
