"The Final Flight Of Destiny's Bounty is an awesome set and a big improvement from the previous model. This set is larger in scale, higher in price, and (in my opinion) better than the original however the original is more realistic towards the asian theme. I love the cannons on the sides and the storage compartments. I'm glad they made the head brick-built and I'm happy the bridge is more closed off (than the original). The sails can be in 3 different positions but are made of plastic. There are a bunch of fun accessories like Nya's workshop, the bucket, the bin of random things, and Wu's tea chest. Of course there are a lot of other fun parts to the set but I don't want to write too much (however I kinda already am). The dragon included in the set has a new design which I appreciate, it's a fairly good looking dragon-it's built in interesting ways and has plenty of space for more than 1 figure. The dragon is also very large in size and is around the size of the ship! The minifigs are great-we get 2 exclusive figures (but they will be in the temple of airjitzu) and Morro who is 1/2 exclusive-he gets a cape in this version but that's all that's new. This is also the only set that you can get Spyder in however he's identical to other ghosts from other sets-he just has a different weapon. Overall, the set does have some flaws but it's a fun build and I would recommend it to any ninjago fan!"
"(The quote above was stated in the episode called "Stiix And Stones"-It's probably not exactly correct because I typed it out of memory). The Ronin R.E.X. is an awesome set! It's very large and there is a nice handle in the back for you to hold on to. An airjitzu flyer in the gold color is on the tail end of the vehicle and the ripcord not only sends the flyer flying but also spins the frontal engines. The front of the R.E.X. has a big clear piece on the front (which also came in the ninjacopter) and opens easily because it's on hinges. I was very happy with how that came out because with the ninjacopter you had to remove the hood from studs which got to be quite annoying. There is plenty of space in the airship to stow away Ronin's possessions-they only give you an aeroblade holder and a brown container but you can add in your own things. I've found that a jet board from the "Attack Of The Morro Dragon" set can fold up nicely and be stored behind the cockpit. They also give you the sword of sanctuary in this set-the sword is basic but because the end of the sword is a typical katana you can fit it in the back of the ninja's armor. There are 2 containers in the front as well. The ghosts get a little dragon in this set. This is one of the couple little dragons that lego has released in this ghost wave but I don't like it very much. The head doesn't look good to me but the rest of the body has some nice articulation (I also don't like the brown vent pieces on the dragon). The minifigures for the set are good, we get Ronin (exclusive), Kai, Goultar, and Attila, all of which have nice weapons. A skreemer is also included in the set who is holding a piece of poultry, both of which I like. All in all, the dragon was not the best but the R.E.X. was awesome and worth every penny! I would recommend this set!"
"This set is one of the best ninjago sets in history! The set is actually very large and Evil Green Ninja looks small on the dragon or (especially) beside it. I love the use of all the spring green pieces-they are put to the best use on the sides of the dragon which make it look like it's twisting and turning through the air. My only problem with the dragon was that the wings didn't have as much articulation because the ball joint socket and the ratcheted joint socket (for the legs) were right on top of each other. I also wished that there were glow in the dark pieces on the dragon but there are some glow in the dark cones on Cowler and Yokai's weapons and some glow in the dark studs on the First Spinjitzu Master's tomb. I love the little jet board assemblies for Kai and Jay and their aeroblades. The weapons for the ghosts are decent-Evil Green Ninja's weapon is very basic, Wrayth's weapon is really nice, Cowler's weapon is basic but glows, and Yokai's weapon is basic, a little large, but also glows. I also love the new skreemers. Overall, this set is awesome-DEFINETLY BUY IT!"
"In my opinion, this set takes mechs to a whole new level-I've never been that big of a mech fan but the samurai mech is amazing! The top moves back to allow Samurai X to sit and there are even rocket boosters on the mech! There's a cannon and a laser on the top and a golden spinner crown in the center which adds a very nice touch to the mech. There are two hands-one has claws and the other holds a sword. The sword is actually connected to the hand using a technic piece which is great because if only the fingers hold the sword it tends to fall out. The top of the mech can rotate as well! The minifigs are great in this set-you get Samurai X, Bytar, and Snike. There is a little catapult for the constrictai included as well which gives you a little bit of a fight. Overall, I would definitely recommend this set!"
"The dojo showdown is a small set but is also a very good one. The set includes 4 minifigures! Sleven (one of Chen's warriors), Kai, Karlof (master of metal), and Griffin Turner (master of speed). Both Karlof and Griffin Turner are exclusive to this set! The dojo itself is a nice addition to the tournament of elements line because it's neither for the ninja or Master Chen. This is a set where you can just act out a battle! Winner! Loser! This set can be by itself but I attached it to one of my other sets and turned it into the ninja's training dojo. There are lots of possibilities of what you can do with the dojo showdown. The only flaw (in my opinion) is that Karlof does not have a metal face like he does in the TV show but, overall, this set is a success!"
"In a word-good. Jay's storm fighter is a cool jet with a neat function. The wings will expand to reveal golden blades. This feature works semi-well, one side always opens fully and the other side barely moves (for me). There is a cool fangpyre shrine and nice characters. Snappa looks particularly despicable. The one thing I wish was included in this set is Jay's nunchucks of lightning so that you can stage the weapon to plane transformation. Even though I didn't have the best luck with the pop-out wings the jet still looks awesome either way. I would recommend this set!"
"I found that the gorilla striker was not a very good Chima set. It was big, bulky, and had few features. It kept toppling on itself. The minifigs=great, mech=not so great=invest in a different Chima set."
"I like it. Lennox' Lion Attack is small but is fun to play with because of its suspension and size. There is a disc function on the lion attack which is a bit unpredictable-the discs fly in random places and sometimes get stuck. The minifigures are nice-especially Crug. I like it."
"What's there to say? Cole's airjitzu flyer is a what you see is what you get kinda set but I guess there are a few things I should tell you. For starters, I think it's interesting that Lego has made these airjitzu flyers and that the flyer itself is made up mostly by a big plastic piece. As for the build, you put together Cole and his weapons (Cole has exclusive printing). The weapons are nice and I think it's humorous that Lego included hotdogs in Cole's weapon assortment. Maybe the hotdogs are a snack if he gets hungry? The rest of the set instructs you to build a handle and then the flyer-there is a cool printed piece on the handle. I've noticed that aside from the minifigures and weapons, all the airjitzu flyers are identical-for the most part. The only differences are the colors and the character's signature printed piece. For me, play value was average for this set-the minifigure was great but the flyer was a little disappointing. I recently finished building this set so I'm sure I'll find a fun way to play with the flyer but I'm also older. I think younger kids would have fun with the entire set and older kids (like myself) would be amused for a few minutes, then remove the minifigure and display or discard the flyer. I would recommend this set to younger folks! These work best OUTSIDE with MULTIPLE people!"
"The destructiod (I feel) will have mixed reviews from lego fans. I am 50-50 with it-don't hate it but don't love it either. It seems as though all the nindroid vehicles are the same which I guess they kinda are. This set is supposed to be General Cryptor's personal ride with a 360 degrees rotating command center and cool tank treads on the sides-it definitely strikes fear for those on the opposing sides. Blades chop up at the front and there is a disc launcher in the front as well. A spinner piece is located at the top of the set with transparent red inside-this looks very menacing and gives the set a nice touch. On the sides there are two arms-one attaches to a long sword and the other has a saw blade at the end which can be spun using a knob. The minifigures for the set are General Cryptor (nice but common figure-leader of the nindroid army), Mindroid (the smallest of the nindroids because the factory ran out of medal-exclusive to this set), and Zane (the original nindroid-ninja of ice-complete robes where as in the Ninjacopter it has him in his beat up version). This is a nice set that has a good amount of features and playability with the large command center and all but I am not wild about this set for reasons that I can't explain. As I said earlier-I think this set will have mixed reviews but if you are a lego ninjago collector you're probably going to purchase this set."
