"I love Lego, Lego Friends, and fitness and think this set has potential. However, I feel the colour scheme is lacking and/or stereotypical. So many more themes--pop star theming (ZUMBA!), Elves colours (yoga), DC Superhero High School (okay, I find my fitness instructors superheroes), etc.
"My parents gave me this set when they visited me for reading break. I was looking EVERYWHERE for this set, and we found this set in a drugstore. As soon as I got home, I built this set. There were so many moving parts, I found it quite hard to focus. That and making Wondy do jumps on her bike and spinning her around.
The set was much appreciated after a medical scare."
"Mom and I agreed that instead of a Christmas tree, we would have a Christmas Lego display. Out of all the sets, only the advent calendars were within our agreed-upon budget. In a choice between Friends and Star Wars, we all agreed on the Friends calendar because those are the Legos I have and use (I'm the big Lego fan in the family--though my dad introduced me when I was a kid).
I'm not really crazy about the outfit/character combinations. I think Naomi's outfit would be better on Maya, and Emma's outfit would be better on Mia. So I'll be changing it up on our display with other Lego pieces.
Given the reviews stated above, I would not recommend this set to START your journey into the world of Lego Friends. However, if you are like me and already into Lego Friends, then I recommend this as an addition to your collection."
"My friend sent this beautiful dragon to me. It was much appreciated after a panic attack. It was a pretty easy build. After building, I think I figured out how to make the torso accomodate two mini dolls. Can't wait to do that, and I hope to build the other dragons too (and give them extra seats)!"
"My family has a quite a few different dietary restrictions, and we still haven't made a good cake for some diets. I didn't want anyone in my family to feel deprived of a birthday cake. My parents think it's very cute, especially with the little jester!"
"This took three or four days to build, and the challenge was much appreciated! It was a great distraction and centering when my PTSD flared up. I just finished it yesterday--Elandra herself was very challenging to build.
Oh, and I know there was some commentary about the exposed studs. I watched the Lego mini-movie on YouTube, and Elandra laid five eggs. I like to think she would carry her babies on her back.
"About 1/6 of my mini dolls are going to be musicians and maybe more in the future. For many Lego Friends fans, Livi is the only musician in their set, so the Show Stage would work wonders.
Unfortunately, I am not one of them--I have mini dolls based off of Emma from The Wiggles and two out of four of her female predecessors. Hopefully, I can add the other two to my collection and maybe more in the future. I can easily change the backgrounds and customize a 2x4 tile with the musician/band name.
That said, the backgrounds are pretty universal. At maximum, you would need two pieces (2x4 tile and a panel) to modify the stage for another performer vs. 17 at MINIMUM for the Show Stage! So I could still play with my other performers without too much hassle.
I would recommend this set for builders who can't afford the Show Stage or someone who (like me and a friend of a brick specialist) has more than one performer in their collection"
"I got this book when Mom handed off about seven gift cards to Barnes and Noble. This took about 3.5 gift cards. I remember really wanting this book and the Kate doll inside.
I have about 30+ Friends/Elves/Disney Princess mini dolls, most of them customized to some degree. Currently, they play different roles in a therapy narrative, and one of the characters needs a vacation. This book will prove very handy for that AND playing with some of the characters as themselves.
However, it was really difficult to find two Kate mini doll that doesn't show midriff. One of my sets, Naida's Spa Secret, doubles as a yoga studio. I wanted to get two Kate mini dolls that didn't show midriff to name after my first instructor and her sister. This book and the campground set took care of that.
However, Lego, I would like more Kate dolls that showed less stomach, though it's less of a priority now"
"I bought this set for myself as kind of a "stay awake" activity for the night before an EEG. I went for a bigger set to keep myself mentally alert. My mom (who has an engineering math degree from Cal-Poly) loved all the moving parts, as did I. I can see myself using the set for many stories.
Zonya is a beautiful dragon, and the fiery cave is a nice touch. It was good to get an "original" 2nd edition Emily Jones mini doll, in addition to my wavy-haired Emily Jones.
I can't wait to build the other dragons--probably using the instructions for Zonya's torso as the others seem to hold only one doll."
"At first, I was deterred by the price. I kept looking at the Arendelle Castle, being a Lego fan and a Disney fan, very wishfully.
Unexpectedly, I got a Lego gift card. There was no doubt in my mind I would get this set with the gift card. It was worth it. I loved putting Elsa and Anna on the slide. It was a challenging build, but then again, I didn't have much time to build it. Maybe, I can play a little more"
