So much I like
" An occasion rose when I needed to get two $10-$15 sets. This was a set I considered, but didn't buy until later, when there was a promotion. It has a Stephanie minidoll, party hats, hamsters and a bike with a ton of little wagons. I considered it because it had fewer pieces which made them harder to lose, and one part of the occasion was my 20th birthday. After building it, I realized that the bike set could be used as a parade float in a community parade--not just a Disney ride for hamsters! "

Just what I wanted
" I was looking at five sets for an occasion that warranted a cheap Lego set. This was one of the sets I considered. I didn't get the island dolphin cruiser, but I wanted a Maya doll to go with Mia. I also really wanted Kate and Liza dolls, which I got in this set, though I renamed them Rutu (after a yoga instructor I had when I was 13) and Hayley (after the sister of one of my favorite celebrities), respectively.
As much as I considered this for the occasion that warranted two Lego sets, I really wanted it after leaving my Lego Friends/Elves/Disney Princess/Custom minifigures of that type at home when I needed them. I got by with the build your own minifigure stand, but cross play has been limited since then (my fault for the impulse purchase and forgetting the mini dolls at home).
Lego, hear the plea of a Lego fan--I would like you to have a make your own Lego Friends mini doll station in your store, like you do for your standard minifigures. I--and my PTSD--will thank you when you do! "

Bows, Bows, Bows!
" I customized a Lego doll of Emma from the Wiggles, so I wanted more bows.
I had a Friends Emma mini doll, too. I called her Sage, after her role in a therapy narrative (Wise 19--little voices in my head are me at different ages). Dad (also a Lego fan) asked, "Where's Parsley, Rosemary and Thyme?"
So between the wish for more bows and the Dad joke, I just had to get this set.
I will say I bent a yellow bow. I'm glad for the spare bow--reduces the brunt from the clumsiness, but I wanted an extra yellow bow just in case. I think it was human error. "

Glad to have my own
" Funny how you asked if I would recommend it to a friend. Even before I got my own, I recommended it to a stranger buying Legos for her daughter! There really aren't enough girls in STEM.
Shortly before it was released, I showed my mom (who has an engineering math degree) a picture of this set. She said that she would've asked for that set for Christmas.
Already having an Olivia doll (and wanting a wavy-haired Emily Jones in addition to my first edition Emily Jones), I gave this doll Emily's hair and renamed her Lise, after physicist Lise Meitner. Besides, even when making new observations, she needs her hair out of the way! (personal preference)
Some personal circumstances gave rise to the need for two $10-$15 Lego sets. This set did NOT disappoint. All science-theming aside, I also wanted this set because the car was a pinky red color. I would have liked it better if there was more elbow room and seats in the Friends cars.
All in all, I would recommend this set to any girl, including the ones (like my mom) who wish for girly science toys "

Fun with some modification
" When I was working on this build, I noticed a flaw in the execution of the moving lilypad. On page 10, I saw that I had to thread the black piece through the blue special plate and attach the cone to the round end of the black rod. I showed it to my dad, with whom I played Legos many moons ago. He couldn't figure it out.
For any of you who got that misprint, my fix was to put the round end of the rod in one side of the plate, the gray rod in the other, put the gray bricks on either side and then the cone on the long end of the black rod. It looks like Lego fixed the typo, so that's good.
Besides that fix, I also added Olivia's hair from the Exploration Car to the Emily Jones doll because I wanted a wavy-haired Emily Jones doll (center). Other than those fixes, I enjoyed the set.
(From left to right: 2015 Emily Jones with the default braid, this set's Emily Jones with Olivia's hair, and the Olivia doll with this set's Emily braid) "

Spa and Yoga Studio
" I bought this set per the advice of my counselor (She and I use Lego Minidolls from Disney Princess, Elves and Friends to personify all the little people in my head who are me at different ages). We thought this could be a spa (as the name implies), a waterfall, AND a yoga studio with its own juice bar!
I will say that I was nervous, given the fact that this set was sold out on Lego.com just as I thought about buying it. But on a shopping day in Downtown Disney California, I found it on sale (one of the reasons why I had no comment on value). It was a build of average difficulty. As soon as I built it, Naida was teaching yoga to the rest of my minidolls and her dolphin.
All of these little details, like the jewels and the little flower pieces were great. I especially loved the little book piece. All in all, an excellent purchase! "
