Pass.
" Unless you really want these specific bricks, in these specific colours, I'd take a pass on this set.
Not as many colours as the 'deluxe' set and the price per brick is about a penny higher.
Not worth it, IMO, unless you find it on sale.

Good buy.
" On it's own, it's "good". When added to other bulk bricks or sets, it's "great"...mostly because of the small bricks and the colour selection.
One of my big complaints with some of the brick buckets in the past, was the complete lack of smaller bricks. This set eliminates that problem. Of course, some folks may say there are TOO MANY small bricks...
Well, I guess you can't please everybody...and, considering that the large bricks have been readily available in the past, I think this set is a fair way to go.
I can easily see this being a 'multiple purchase' set for many folks.

Seems expensive but, it's not.
" I tend to use the gauge of "$3 per minifigure" to do a quick calculation of the cost of "minifig specific" sets.
Based on THAT calculation, this is a great deal.
31 figures and accessories for $70, instead of $93. Not bad at all.
A quick, easy and relatively painless way to flesh-out your 'city' setup.
And, let's face...I complain about 'price' a lot, so if *I* think it's an okay deal... =)

Don't kid yourself, you NEED this!
" I don't care who you are, or how long you've been collecting/building LEGO bricks, there WILL come a time when you need this!
And, if you're anything like ME, the time that you need it the most, is exactly the time when you won't be able to find it in your LEGO stash...so buy a couple of them. =)

Welcome back!
" I'm thrilled to see that the blue baseplate has returned! For a while, it seemed like it was gone for good and I was quite bummed about that, because I wanted more of them for my 'pirate' sets. LOL!
IMO, this baseplate is a 'must have' purchase, especially for 'pirates', or if you have a waterfront for your 'city' setup.
My only complaints are: 1) it used to be available in a two-pack and now it's only available in singles 2) only available in blue and green...I would love to see it available in white and tan, as well. "

A 'must have'
" IMO, this baseplate is a 'must have' purchase, for pretty much ANY LEGO setup. It works great for castle, city, any of the licensed themes, etc., etc.
My only complaints are: 1) it used to be available in a two-pack and now it's only available in singles 2) only available in blue and green...I would love to see it available in white and tan, as well.

Odd size
" Though this baseplate is GREAT for building on, it has one major flaw...it's size in relation to other baseplates (blue, green, streets). If you want to insert this x-large grey plate into any sort of setup with other plates, you'll need either some half-size plates, or two of these grey plates, just to make sure all of your edges line up. It's a bit pricey for what you get but, it is a GREAT building surface, especially if you want a small, self-contained model base, without worrying about 'inserting' it into other scenes. "

Huh?
" Okay, I LOVE Brickjournal. It is a FANTASTIC resource for LEGO fans and I think that every fan could benefit from checking it out.
With that said, why is it being advertised on lego.com, yet is listed as 'UNAVAILABLE'? First with issue #9 and then again with issue #10. What's up with that? "
