Awesome At Hyperspeed
" This is one of the best Space Police series sets.
At 456 pieces, this is a pretty large set. The build time is surprisingly long on this set. Normally it would take me about 35-45 minutes to put a set this size together, but it took me a little over an hour. There are a lot of small pieces that extend the process a little bit, but they all add to the experience.
There isn't too much build repetition (ie: repeating the same step over and over) in this set, with the exception of the jets on the Space Police ship, which get a bit tedious but otherwise don't take too much time to build. Building the ships is just a blast. They are rather unique in design and the way the enemy ship comes together is really enjoyable.
This is not a set to buy if you hate stickers. There are about five billion (only a slight exaggeration) stickers in this set, most of them for the skull twins' ship. I will say that the stickers really add a lot to this set appearance-wise.
The Space Police ship just looks fast. The jets on the back are designed in such a way as to invoke speed. There are also weapons all over this thing which make it look powerful in addition to its speediness. The cockpit has no hinge and it is hard to get the windshield off once you put it on. This is about the only thing I could find "wrong" with the ship.
The prison pod is a prison pod; it never blast open as dramatically as the box art depicts it, but it works well enough. The cool thing about it is that the prison pod is interchangeable with the pods on the Galactic Enforcer (#5974). This is a nice touch that was missing from the other prison pod craft, the Max Security Transport.
The Space Police ship is also probably the most swooshable spaceship that LEGO has ever made. It is also a lot larger than the box art makes it look.
The Skull Twin ship is an awesome-looking space truck hot-rod thing. It is incredibly detailed because of the intricate LEGO pieces used to craft it and it is an extremely pleasant build. The cannons are integrated into the ship so that they look like a natural part of the vehicle rather than just a technic cannon strapped on for fun.
The cockpit's roof sits on it kinda loose, but at least that makes it easy to open. The open-air windows expose the cabin to space, as does a "hole" from the bed of the truck/trunk into the cockpit. I guess the Skull Twins are like Batman--they can breathe in space. The amazing details (along with the excellent use of stickers) makes this probably the best-looking bad-guy spaceship that LEGO has ever made.
One other small thing: you cannot fit both Skull Twins in their vehicle at the same time. It seems like LEGO intended for the second twin to be housed in the prison pod. This hurt playability a little as you cannot have both twins rampaging through the galaxy in a single ship (without sitting them in there at really odd angles), but otherwise the ship is cool.
The minifigures themselves are pretty nice. It's the same one as the Space Truck Getaway set. He's otherwise just a regular Space Police Guy, y'know?
The Skull Twins are very nice, with their racer-like outfit complete with Octan logo, which is a nice touch. Their ghost-white faces are very creepy with their blood-red eyes and mouths. As a nice touch they are double-sided. One side has a third eye in their forehead and the other does not. Their skull-like helmets are a bit rubbery and fit snug on the heads, allowing the eyes to be seen through the eye holes. The Skull Twins are rather rare (with one appearing in Squidman's Pitstop and two appearing here), so they are another excellent reason to buy this.
All in all, this is probably one of the must-buy Space Police ships. If you don't have the funds to get the Galactic Enforcer, definitely try to pick this one up. It won't disappoint. "

Super Swooshable
" This is an excellent little LEGO ship.
The ship itself builds pretty easily, and while it doesn't have a lot of parts, they are all very slick-looking and give this ship a nice feel. The ship features flick-fire missiles (FFMs), which are kinda silly, but even if flicking them isn't your thing, they look very cool on the wings. Besides the FFMs, it has two forward guns.
The nicest thing about this ship is that there is a hinge on the cockpit allowing for easy access to add and remove the pilot; something that is missing in pretty much every other space police vehicle.
But the most important thing is that this ship is extremely swooshable. Go ahead, fly it back and forth and see if you don't agree.
The minifigures are pretty slick as well.
The new Space Police commando has a new-for-space-police face and a brand new helmet with a red visor. Before now, the next best place to get a red visor was the original Space Police line and you'll get a spare one as an extra piece. Unfortunately the helmet design doesn't allow the visor to swing up.
Rench's head is just Kranxx's in lime green, but the color really works well on him. It looks much better in person that in photographs. He comes with a neat little gun that reminds me of a rocket launcher. His body is largely in the style of the original Blacktron minifigures, with a little Blacktron II logo in the upper corner. this is a nice touch.
In summary, this is one of the best small spaceships LEGO has put out in years, with two nice minifigures and high swooshability, this is a must-buy. "

Robot. Dog. With. Missile.
" This set is worth it for the robot dog alone. Give it a flick-fire missile and it can't be beat.
Like most of the space police officers, this one gets a unique face. He also gets airtanks, which seems to be a rarity with the space police figures.
The only downside I can see is that unless you've pushed the robot dog together very firmly, flicking its missile tends to knock the dog apart. Then again, that's pretty hilarious, so maybe it's not a downside at all.
Very much worth buying. "

Decent Set With Nice Features
" Overall a pretty well-designed set.
Build strength is good. Nothing should really fall apart on you while building. There is a step or two where you have to leave a pin out and then line it up and push it in on the next step which can be a little tricky, but over all it's not too bad.
Frenzy is a pretty nice minifigure, though the upper arms being longer than the lower arms is a little annoying. Since they can't move down to the side, they often get in the way when he's not on his ship. The officer has a unique face, which is nice.
The Space Police craft is very slick on the whole, with rotating jets and flick-fire missiles. The back half of the craft seems a bit thin though. I would have liked a meatier storage area for the safe. The rear engines feel a bid cramped for the space they are on. The fins don't like to stay aligned propertly. The way the cockpit opens can be a bit frustrating. You have to watch how you pick this ship up, or you may end up with an open cockpit. for general play though, it should stay closed well enough. None of these issues are hard to get past though. Once you are aware of them, you'll find yourself handling the ship quite easily. The rotating jets and side 'guns' really enhance the experience. Also: gold-colored LEGO tiles!
Frenzy's ship is pretty lame as far as tiny ships go. The weird... jet thing? on the back just kinda flops around. "

Worth it for Squidman Alone
" Squidman make this set completely worth it. The double-sided face for the space police officer (only officer with this head) just adds to the value.
I would have liked a ship for Squidman, but apparently his feet are his preferred mode of transportation, so I can live with that. The space police ship is solid and sleek. Very nice design for a small vehicle. "

Nice Set.
" Overall, this is a pretty worthwhile set.
Build strength is good. Nothing will fall apart as you're building it.
The little accessories (stop sign, traffic light) are a nice tough, but as they are small, they are easy to lose.
A cheap Kranxx is nice. His head design is pretty cool. This is also the only space police officer with this face.
The space police craft is kinda boring, though flick-fire missiles are rather fun. Kranxx's bike is very cool looking. The stickers really enhance the look-and-feel. "

Buy It only if you're a Completionist.
" The only real reason to buy this set is if you have a desire to collect -all- the space police sets.
If you're only after collecting all the minifigures, skip this set and buy the Max Security Transport instead, as that'll get you Snake and the cheapest Slizer (assuming you can find it!)
As far as tiny sets go, the vehicle isn't half bad.
The biggest downside to this set is that Snake doesn't come with a visor, though if you collect other space police sets, you probably have a ton of extra black visors. "

Very Cool Set
" Very robust and holds together well. Lots of features.
While building, it felt like I was building a LEGO Technic set sometimes with the way the pieces combine. Very solid frame to this product and a very slick design. I had no problems with the set wanting to fall apart while building. It was a blast to build.
Flight mode doesn't look quite as cool as I thought it would, but having the alternate mode enhances playability. Sometimes the wheels flop down into flight mode when you pick it up, so whenever you transport it, expect to have to push the wheels back into land mode a lot.
The coolest unexpected perk to the set was the fact that you can push the prisoner holding cell down and cause the two side guns to pop up and be ready for attack. Also, this causes the 'field generator' to no longer be a prison cell weak point, unlike other sets in the series, where any space villain with a cannon can break prisoners free. :D
The enemy ship's missile launcher, as usual, is fairly powerful, though the prison cell doesn't always fly open quite as dramatically as you'd expect.
The front and rear of the transport can detach from the main vehicle and combine into a small escape ship, which is a rather nice touch.
The space police officer face is unique to this set (at least as far as space police sets go) and it is also the cheapest set that contains Slizer, making this a very attractive set for minifigure collection. Snake is pretty meh, since he's so freely available in a tiny set, but that doesn't detract from the value.
All in all, this is a superb LEGO set and I commend its designers on a job well done. "
