Mysterio had to go to the bank
" I liked having 3 booklets, one for each of the numbered brick bags. This can allow multiple people to work on different bags.
I enjoyed building each of these bags. We started with the 2nd booklet because my son did not want to start with the Spider-Man one. My son stopped helping me build as soon as we finished the Mysterio's robot! He was playing with it and too bad for the other bags! I asked him what he thought of it, he thinks it's beautiful and very practical! What I like are the arms and the dome that opens completely! This is my favorite Spider-man set for the younger kids.
We saw the Spider-Verse movie the day before, so he knew who Ghost Spider (Spider-Gwen) was and wanted to play with it.
As far as playability goes, the set offers a lot of interaction and possible scenarios: the bank vault door can be extracted with the help of the robot, chests full of gold and gems, Mysterio has illusions that come out of his hands and then there's Spider-Man's helicopter (there's no denying, he must be funded by Tony Stark to have so many vehicles)! My son and I love it: the spider legs, the spider web the end of the helicopter, the Spider-Man logo dots printed on the sides.
The Mysterio minifigure is exclusive to this 2020 set, his look is similar to the one in the older comic books. I'm really surprised because I only started buying LEGO 4 years ago and I would have thought that there would have been other versions of the character before, however this is the first one that is inspired by the comics! The other version before it (2019) is based on the Spider-Man MCU movie.
As for the Spider-Gwen minifigure, it's the same one found in the 2019 set #76115.
Finally, the Spider-Man costume is one that debuted in 2019. What is really different is at the level of his back: the spider looks like a red sun.

Another day like any other at Jurassic World.
" Build time: 30 minutes for an adult with a little help from a 3 year old.
It's sometimes hard to get your hands on a set that's sold out, it's often a stroke of luck when you find one in the store. We are now missing only the big helicopter to have all the models of that year.
Two days ago, I told my son that I had managed to find a box with a new dinosaur, one with different colors. So, as soon as he walked by the box this morning, he asked me if we could build it, and since I wanted to do it too, we opened the box.
I didn't have much help from my 3 year old son, because he was tired this morning, but he played with it a lot as soon as it was built. I asked him what his favorite part of the set was, without hesitation, he told me the vehicle. He's at the age where he likes to play with cars a lot.

This is our second Jurassic World off-roader, we put together the first one a few months ago. It differs from the set with the baryonyx because it is a little smaller, but it has a net launcher to catch small and medium dinosaurs, which makes it a little more practical than the other one in case of a problem!
This is a fun set to build, I didn't see any issues with it. It is even more solid than the other model when it comes to playing with it when the child is young.
On my son's side, there are two things he would have liked: a roof on the vehicle (I told him there is no winter, that's why he doesn't need it and he agreed) and a baby dinosaur in the egg (I told him it would be really small - the idea of dinosaurs being born is great, it would be nice to have a set with an open egg and a baby dinosaur in it.) Having 4 bounty hunters was a deal!
" Even I could afford to pay the bounty hunters like Jabba and Darth Vader did!
Build time by an adult was 30 minutes.
Fans of the 1st trilogy enjoyed this Battle pack. Having four bounty hunters (Dengar, 4-LOM, Bossk, IG-88) in one box at this price is exceptional. Only one bounty hunter is missing to complete the package: Boba Fett. Unlike most Battle Packs that have been released since 2007, these are unique characters and not troopers.
I had bought the box two years ago and figured I would save all the Star Wars for when my son was older. But we are running out of room for our LEGO boxes!
In terms of the build, the speeder bike uses bricks like I've never used before: the spyglass and the motorcycle handlebars. I smiled when I realized how they were used. Another thing that made me smile and even laugh were the extra bricks. Having built LEGO City firefighters, we usually don't have as many blue round bricks (#6240214) to put out fires. However, bounty hunters are known to be well-equipped, so there is no shortage of red round bricks (14X no. 3005741) as ammunition! "

Whomp was waiting for you, see its smile
" Build time: 40 minutes. My 3 year old son helped me with 66% of the bricks, this was the first set of the day and it was late AM.
For the first time, we have a set that features throwing a shell at another character. I was wondering how LEGO would portray it. Even during the build I didn't realize that was what we were building.I would love to see it again in another set (e.g. having a shell on a sliding platform might be an interesting idea).
There are two exclusive characters in this set (Whomp and Lava Bubble), Whomp is a very large character with a brick printed for his face. This is obviously the one that my son likes a lot. It's the same on my side and as I told my son: when you see Ba-Boom's smile, you see why it's important to always brush your teeth and go to the dentist.
As for the playability, it's a great set for collecting lots of gold coins: the mobile platform gives us lots of them and so does the P switch (that's what turns bricks into gold coins in the video game). The moving platform doesn't have studs to help Mario stand better, which increases the difficulty level when going back and forth. "

One of the few desert set
" Build time : 55 minutes, my 3 years old helped me on 30% of the bricks, it was the second set of the day in we were in late afternoon.
This is one of the few sets that has the yellow desert bricks (there are 4 in total if we include the launch promo set). In this one we have a variation of the sliding platform for collecting gold coins, but with a wagon and tracks caught between two piranha plants. Having seen my son play with it, just the presence of the piranha plants is a danger for Mario. However, since Mario stays in his wagon, his base will never touch the plants so he has nothing to fear! We still try to move the wagon and we stop as soon as the wagon hits the plants a few times.
There is a baby cactus and a mother cactus (they are names used by my son to define them), a time bonus and two other characters (the Koopa Troopa and the Goomba). They are elements to interact with, sometimes we jump over them and sometimes we jump on them.
As a parent who helps his child building the set, what I preferred to assemble were the piranha plants. What's interesting is that they don't have barcodes, so it's possible to have all the bricks at home to build more, but I admit that it takes a lot. My son finalized the construction by putting the teeth on them. For him, building the tracks was the most important thing.

With Wiggler's help
" Build time 1h40 (10 minutes for the flying turtle/Koopa Paratroopa and 50 minutes for the caterpillar/Wiggler, 40 minutes for the rest) in two days.
We chose to do this set this weekend because it contains a lot of poisonous swamp bricks. Mario's reactions are very funny whenever he steps on them.
We started with the construction of the caterpillar, because it was the one that interested my son the most. The design is very nice, it is similar to a train and its wagons. He asked me why his head didn't stay straight and then tried to make Mario jump on it, but it didn't work (because there is no barcode). He was a little disappointed at the time, but I told him to wait a little bit because we were going to find out how to play with it.
Then I did the flying turtle and I figured there would be something with the 3rd or 4th bag to go with the caterpillar. So we built the swamp with the gear and the sliding tray. I then put the caterpillar head on the gear and saw that it worked, but the goal still eluded me. I didn't know this character, as I told my son it's probably a nice caterpillar and that's why Mario doesn't jump on it. My first impression was that I wish we could have moved the sliding tray around a bit more or made it go around.
Then we built the rolling bridge... now I was impressed and understood the goal of this set: the caterpillar must interact with the bridge! My rating went up to the equivalent of a 4.5 out of 5 stars.
Next, we made the raft and my son put Mario on it. I was so tempted to play with it but my son's was already running in the room with it! The raft raised my rating to 5 stars. There is no equivalent in LEGO Super Mario; kind of like the beanstalk and a cloud, it could give us access to another course.
I almost forgot... there is also an invincible star to help us face the next boss!
To conclude, I asked my son the following question: How do you like it? My 3 year old's answer: It's very good! "

Still waters run deep
" I really like the whole set because it's different from the boats you find in LEGO City although you can easily mix them together. The boat splits into two parts that can fit on the ghost reef. The look is very nice. My young son doesn't understand yet the principle of stranded boats so he prefers the whole boat, without the big black antenna.
The albino alligator is one of the gems of this set, you won't find it anywhere else.

Note from a parent's point of view on the bricks : The round and transparent brick that is under the boat is a table savior! If your are not sure why you should put them under, just do it! Earlier this summer, we played with the huge LEGO Spider-Man bridge. I even had the idea to put it on the kitchen's table. I pushed it when it was time for super and it made a strange noise. Lesson's learned, if there is no wheel and if it's heavy, it possibly will scrach your table:)
Also, if your child is younger, chances are that the railings will fall often, you will learn to rebuild it often, but it's ok.
oh, and by the way, the character (pirate with an octopuc) that you can get from the set on the app is one of my favorite design. "

Pizza anyone?
" Wow, I'm very late when it comes to writing reviews! We started building this Hidden Side set in the summer of 2020. J.B.'s Ghost Lab is always my favorite place when playing ghosts with the app and when hunting too, you can see Spencer no matter where he appears.
The construction of the set went well, there are no complex steps. For my part, I would never have thought of making antennas with the pieces they gave us, it's always nice to discover other ways of doing things.
You know you're building a lab that belongs to a wacky scientist when you find out that she likes pizza within reach.
On the playability side, there's a lot to pull or spin. Type on the keyboard, fix something with a big wrench, etc.
I'm definitely a fan of Hidden Side.

Loading time!
" How do you like it? Answer from my 3 year old son: Beautiful. It is made to dig the earth, exactly. What does a truck like that do? It picks up things.
The construction time was just under 20 minutes, my son helped me with some parts (e.g. wheels, cab, weighing on bricks, etc.).
The advantage of a small set like this is that it is built quickly and children play with it quickly.
My son immediately went to the living room to get the garbage truck #60220 and used it as a dump truck to receive the bricks. Even our older sets are updated when we need them for an occasion like this one.
The yellow wheels, the brown fence, the cabin and the bucket are all new elements that we have never had before (N.B. We had our first white fence with the Super Mario house, the brown fence is our second).
Note as a parent:
The bucket mechanism is very solid, it won't drop its load. This is a strength of this set.
My son wished the set had more stickers (it's not entirely LEGO's fault; I rushed to apply them on the right bricks before my son applies them where it would look great.). "

Hunters are outnumbered!
" I built this set before I saw the Hidden Side animated series, I invite the fans to watch them. It will give you all the details, the storyline is quite good. No wonder Lady E was a fierce opponent on the app.!
Here is my original comment that I forgot to publish two months ago :
On the playability side, this set #70428 has fewer pieces that you can move by interaction than the Graveyard Mystery (#70420) of Hidden Side: you have the tree's claws and you have the spiders and the bat coming out of the tree's mouth. I think that what makes up for that are the three ghosts chasing Jack! For once, the ghosts have a chance to win! The hunters are outnumbered; this is not the case in all sets!
What is striking during the construction is the colors of the pieces reflect the night. Pale blue and black dominate, even Jack's face is blue.
The shape of the tree is completely different from that of the Hidden Side Graveyard Mystery set, so the building experience is different.
Although I am color blind, I find that a ghost's red face is less visible than a yellow ghost's face. I don't know if these features would have been more visible using more white, as with the eyes.
