"We built it this summer and my young son plays a lot with the buggy, and he is two years old. So for him, there is no difference in between a lego city vehicule and an Hidden Side one. It is a very interesting vehicle with its suspension. I think that there's a tipping point where the wheels come off and you may have a hard time trying to fix it. Could a thin brick 2X8 fix it, maybe? We tried with a 2X6, but it is does it from time to time and when it happens dad fix it. Besides that, it's a great vehicle and it's Hidden Side! The is always something special with each set, for this one, it's a two-headed ghost. You don't have one in any other set!"
"Propeller Mario will help us when we create a sub-level in the clouds. We are far from having exploited the full potential of Super Mario at home! Up to now, I've been creating the levels and they're pretty simple. When he will get used to it, I will increase the difficulty level by putting 4 Goomba in front of Mario!
More general comment on the power-up packs: Since the kits are not essential to play, kids can choose their favorite and leave it on their Mario at all times. That being said, we do have four sets already! We opened three power up packs (Cat, Propeller and Builder) this Saturday and my little boy started changing Mario's pants every two minutes!"
"Builder Mario may be the one we haven't yet grasped its full potential. I know he's heavy and he's going to help bring things down. It's still a bit abstract for me because I'm the one who's going to create a level that will maximize the kit's potential. I'll surely get inspiration from what I see on the web and also from the promo set # 40414 that will bring Monty Mole out of the ground.

"After seeing an extract from a Super Mario video game, my three-year-old found the cat disguise very funny! I couldn't miss the opportunity to buy it. It is, indeed, his favorite! He laughs when he plays with it and he acts like a cat at the same time! So it's 5 stars out of 5 for us! He noticed that you don't often get the star (invicible Mario) when hitting the brick: will we ever get that power-up pack one day? In any case, it would make my boy really happy."
"I'm really late to get the latest wave models, I completely missed the mysterious castle and I have regrets! What can I say about the set 70434, what hit me first were the wheels! It's the most beautiful design I've seen. I discovered that you can put a sticker on a round plate and insert it into the wheel, it's brilliant and it leaves room for endless possibilities. Its wheels also have another useful, even spectacular function: you discover that they are retractable and you can swivel them underneath like a hovercraft. The stickers enhance the design of the vehicle and that's why I hurried to stick them in the right place before my son decided to stick them where it looks good :) I discovered that there may be another type of ghost (blue, red, yellow) with this 3rd wave. Although he has blue wings, the shadow-walker looks a little darker and his role seems a little more mysterious. As for the other ghost, Vaugin Geist, he definitely has a nice face compared to the first one :) The playability, like all the hidden side is 10/10 and I was lucky enough to catch Maxine Turbo on the second day on the app."
"It's a set that is exceptional, it stands out for its height and number of pieces especially if we compare it with the starter kit in which we have long plates, towers and square plates on which Mario and the characters walk on.
The POW that makes the rock fall trigers an effect that makes Monty Mole jump. It is ingenious! It is like a catapult that propels Monty Mole out of his burrow. It makes me want to create one with 3 Monty Moles that are propelled at the same time. My little boy laughs every time we play with it!"
"We built the dragster in the summer of 2020; the summer of 2020 was the Hidden Side summer because it was the collection that we built the most LEGO from. It's a set that fits pretty well in Newbury, but despite the image on the back of the box, it is not yet compatible with the game's app; there is no ghost-hunting location for the set 40408. I wish there was one though. I think it's great that LEGO allows us to buy old and exclusive promo items. I wish it could always be like this. When it first came out, I didn't pay too much attention about Hidden Side, but after we started our first ones I knew I had to have it. So I looked everywhere for it! About the LEGO itself, my young one always takes the fire out of the exhaust pipes because he thinks it looks better without them! :) The minifig lance is interesting, we can imagine a ghost taking advantage of it to jump over the hunters."
"We redid the Lego and our challenge was to find the right bricks because all the parts in one big bag!
I wanted to show my nephew this set. My 9 year old nephew started to build the LEGO and I finished it in the evening. I also showed him how to play with the app, which he understood pretty quickly!
It's a set that can be adapted to any monster, zombie, skeleton, vampire, that you already have. So, for those who have the minifig series, it's a perfect set. You can easily make a 'scary' set and expand the graveyard!
What I liked about putting the set together was that I felt like I was reading a script when I turned the pages of the instruction booklet. As examples, I can mention the leaking faucet or the tree roots climbing up the right side of the shed. In short, this cemetery is not as quiet as you might think.
It was a bit by chance that I discovered that the app was now working on my cell phone, so I was curious. Initially, I had missed the collection because the app was not compatible with my cell phone. We already had Jurassic World, Lego City, Harry Potter and the DC and Marvel superheroes. I'm really glad the app works, it's a great game!"
"My young son has told me a few times in the last few months that he would like to have a LEGO bus. The reason was very simple: he has known for more than a year the song 'the wheels of the bus go round and round...' and it is one of his favorite songs. Lego City didn't have an alternative at the time, I think the last set must have been a year or two ago. As he is much younger than the recommended age, I wasn't sure how he would feel around ghosts. I didn't want him to be scared of ghosts or of the bus. One day, I ended up buying it and showed it to my son the next day! It was a day when he was a little tired, so he didn't help me for long. It's a model that still takes quite some time to build. I had the pleasure of doing it. As an adult, although a bus is in theory a big rectangle, I can assure you that there are many parts. It's nice to move forward in the booklet and see the project come to fruition. I really like the LEGO humor (cool bus instead of school bus) the attention to details and the versatility of the pieces. If you are a parent, you should do what I do: take the LEGO and go play on the app as soon as your child is asleep!!!! The game is great, not too long and it's perfect because parents don't have a lot of time. As for my young son, he sure loves his bus and he ain't afraid of no ghosts (to quote a famous movie from 1984)! :)"
"It all started with a comment that I saw online where the person said that she really liked the owl... since we had another fire vehicle, this one could be complementary. We were also going to have an owl that winked. With all these owls that are also found in the Harry Potter sets... there are many possibilities. As soon as we finished the Lego, me and my son went upstairs and placed the car next to the other fire truck and we extinguiched the fire."
