Many months later, my heart hasn't change!
" During one year, I had troubles when it came to leave reviews. I had to change my nickname every month. So this one was done a while ago, I am updating under my current nickname!
Now (a few months later): my heart hasn't change about the set. It has nice surprises (a toilet inside the RV, the marshmallow, the fire is really red hot). It still is on the table, but my son deconstrucked it! So yes, he learned that I can unmake things! I have to find all the piece and put them back in a bag for later! :)
Back then I wrote:
I'm always impressed with the conversion of objects to LEGO! I'm a LEGO dad who opened this set two days ago. My son wanted the truck and the dinosaur even though he never saw the Toy Story movies. For my part, we had our first apple and our first log top. The marshmallow on a branch is funny and smart! It can really slides down the branch like when you overheat one over the fire! Regarding 4+, I really like that this set has printed pieces and not stickers. It will last longer. One more thing, remember that it could be your last chance to put your hands on the characters. Pixar confirmed that there won't be another Toy Story movie. Construction time with a young child who helps me: 45 minutes

A great collaboration with Nintendo
" I was a little skeptical at first, when we saw the first images of this slightly square Super Mario that didn't look like a minifigure. I had expectations and the product didn't look like what I expected.
Then there was the launch and I saw that we could have two promos. I figured I'd better not think too much and buy at the LEGO store!
The next day, I was testing with my niece and my little boy who are both two years old. I made a level and let them take Super Mario for a walk. The two had never seen the videogame before and they immediately fell in love with it!
I am sharing a photo that contains the starter kit and some other extensions.
I am slowly starting to buy other sets. I even made a Brick Headz that looks like my son to do the level with him when he walks Super Mario.
If I had one recommendation for improving the product, it would be to print the BlueTooth and On/Off buttons differently because on the second day, the little ones erased a little bit of ink because they pressed it with their nails.

What could be better than street food in Newbury!
" Chef Enzo will cook you a hotdog on his haunted barbecue.
t's a polybag that takes less than 5 minutes to finish.
There is no rare bricks, thus the lure really comes from the ghost that sits over the cook's shoulders.
Minifig(s) can be scanned and recognized by the app, but it's not a place to hunt though.
I got it and I'm very happy! "

Flight with turbulence
" The positive sides were: the welder (it's our first blowtorch!), Freya McCloud
(I really liked the personalization that was done with LEGO city in 2020; some of the minifigs finally have names), the firefighter colored helicopter handle, the emergency motorized vehicle (the biggest of its kind we've ever built and my son likes it) and I learned how to build a pipe with several pieces.
As in many homes, the flight of our helicopter is unpredictable :) The weather conditions are however stable, the pilot always has the OK from the control tower to fly away, but sometimes he doesn't fly away or he doesn't go very far.
I tried to understand the why in order to see how I could make it fly for sure. I noticed that it is lighter than a Junior model because all its parts are not built with conventional brick. When you make it lighter, it flies better. The helicopter and the propeller weigh 24 grams, the minifig and the cabin window weigh 14 grams. Our best flights are without the minifig and the glass. The flights that are a little less amazing are the ones with the glass, but without the minifig.
Another reason that can explain the difficulty of the flights is the take-off; the helicopter has to lift itself from the handle to fly (15 mm), if it doesn't gain enough height the helicopter will stay in your hands. In order to do this, you should not be afraid to pull the plastic "cable". As my son is 3 years old, he still doesn't have the strength to pull and facilitate the takeoff. This doesn't prevent him from enjoying the propellers turning while he steers the helicopter with the handle.
In the end, maybe the set would have been better appreciated if it had had a gear mechanism that would have turned the propeller without making it fly; the handle would have had a crank that would have helped to turn the propellers. "

We could use an expert level to power this up!
" Fire Mario Power-Up Pack is a 4 out of 5 for me because it evokes childhood memories.
When we started playing with it, it was a bit by chance that I discovered how to shoot fireballs. It was later that I remembered that the instruction are accessible through the app.. Everything becomes clear when playing with the application. I could be wrong, but I tend to think that this power-up pack doesn't change much because few monsters have more than one life. It could be very useful if LEGO created a set that would allow us to make a course at the expert level that give more life to the monsters.
My little boy is now 3 years old, he likes this one, but ever since I bought the Mario Cat, no costume can dethrone it.

From not haunted to haunted
" It's a really fun set to build.
The design is made to go from a not haunted juice bar to a haunted one! You just tilt the roof and its ghost face appears.

Other than the Friends collection, I don't remember a juice bar set recently.
The set is not associated with a place (ghost hunt) in the app though, but you can scan the minifigs and our cell phone will recognize both. "

Another small set we needed
" El Fuego is another minifigure that you can scan when you play with the application.
The construction didn't take long since it's a polybag with few pieces. El Fuego's stunt cannon will blend well with the Haunted Fairground. This is our first skeleton with a pair of boots! If you're wondering, it's a face that's different from the one included in El Fuego's plane.

A familly project
" I think the worst thing that can happen is to regret not having bought a LEGO after it's sold out! I've been looking for it for a long time and finally got my hands on Go Brick Me!
I wanted to make a Brick Headz like my son, but I didn't know when to do it since we have a lot of LEGO's and also would he find it fun.
I chose to do it on a summer night and surprise him the next day: he could play with LEGO Super Mario and I would play with the Brick Headz behind Super Mario! It was thought that it was a very good idea to see each other:)
In the following days, it was my wife who wanted to make herself as a Brick Headz to be next to our son's Brick Headz. She took the time to finish her project in one afternoon, she who doesn't have the patience to do LEGOs usually!

It took us 24 days to finish this one!
" We opened our first advant calendar from the front with my little one who was about three years old! I bought this one last year and I was really looking forward to opening it.... with only one month of December and three potential advant calendars (LEGO City, Star Wars et Harry Potter), we will have to start opening them in October soon!
My son likes to open small windows, there were days when he wanted to open two! He waited until the 24th to get his Santa! Santa Claus in a sleigh pulled by a dog that was what he likes the most!
As an adult, I liked seeing a husky, it was a dog we didn't have! I also like the fact that LEGO gives small accessories in duplicate (scarf and the propeller that goes on the cap), it goes very well with any minifig.
The rink is very well thought out, we left the things that went outside on the rink cardboard and I had set up a small house where we did placed the fireplace, table, etc., inside.

Gotham prisonners are trying to escape!
" It's a good set that I wanted to get in order to get the door of the Arkham Asylum: it's a printed piece, it's not a sticker on top.
Besides this huge piece, me and my little boy liked the playability of the set.
As he is only two years old, we told him that the Joker and Harley were throwing olives (bombs) at the prison. I also noticed that the helicopter blades are smaller than some Jr sets and therefore more easy to operate for a very young child.
You can also lock up a character and release him with the hook of the motorcycle, etc.
My disappointment with the set comes from Harley, but that's just my opinion as an adult. On one side, I find that the mini hole in the hair is a shame when there is no accessory in the box (e.g. a tiny hat like the one in series 1 #71017). The second flaw, and maybe it was just in my case, was that the grinning mouth exceeds the hair at the back. And I would have liked to have a little more detail on her face.
I'm going to finish with the aspect that I like the most as an adult playing with his child: the top hat. It could be the Joker's, but the Joker rarely wears one. It could belong to the Penguin (Lego says so), but could it be the hat of the Mad Hatter, that other character from Batman's universe!?!?!?!?
