Almost perfect
" A few things are "off" about this set. First, I'll start with the hood of the car. We should have gotten 2 of the #33909 pieces instead of regular white 2x2 plates. There are too many studs on the hood and it doesn't look good - it looks very very unfinished, especially for the piece count. Second, the back window stickers are TOO LARGE - EVEN FOR ADULTS. They are difficult to line up properly and we're left with this white line down the middle of what should be a window. Third, the overall look of this car is deceiving in the pictures. It looks to be very round in shape but it actually comes off as very long. The distance from the front and back wheels are "off" for this car, as Porsche 911s are zippy and not at all like straight-line drivers like the Camaro (a surprisingly good set by direct comparison). This could have been disguised by giving us a rounder windshield maybe, not one that is so rectangular. Fourth, the cones/pylons. Why include only 3, why not 4? Why include them at all (a 2-piece build)? A waste of pieces if you ask me. Also, the inclusion of a helmet should warrant an actual racing suit because no racer drives in a bothersome tight leather jacket. On a positive note, I enjoyed building this without the usual boring chassis. "

Nice, BUT!
" The good: great piece count, great if you're looking for only sand-green for that faded copper look, and it's a pretty cute set.
The bad: The Statue of Liberty has SEVEN horns, not five. I'm sure kids don't initially care about that, but we have to teach them things properly. I think Lego owes it to children to re-issue this set with the seven horns. Details matter.
The ugly: There's no ugly. Yay! "

Great value for car builders!!
" This set is just bursting with goodness. It's more than a three in one, more like a 4 or 5 in 1. The truck/trailer is packed with pieces that make very good race car details. Lots of wheels and lots of curved tiles. They practically give you two of every piece. Now on to the bad: the two racecars are in different positions when laid on top of the trailer. The top one sits flush and almost perfect, but the bottom level was built one plate too high thus the racecar doesn't sit well and can fall off during transport. If you have OCD you're going to have to fix this part Right Away. I took apart the semi but that one detail ruined it as a Lego set for me. Overall, I think this is pretty amazing value considering not only the strong piece count but considering that those pieces are useful for car builders. If you want to increase your piece collection, this is a good set to do it with. There aren't any minifigs or big molded pieces, and quite frankly that's my kind of set. Except for the difference in parking positions, this set is near-perfect. I didn't build the crane or tugboat yet so I can't comment on those builds, but judging just by the pictures they seem okay. As an extra piece I managed to get an extra rubber tire! With the pieces from the truck alone I can make 2-3 cars that are bigger than the ones provided since they give you 18 wheels altogether. I couldn't wait for this set to arrive and I would do it again! I believe this set will be underlooked for the lack of minifigs, but honestly, who cares about them when you get tons of extra useful stuff. I actually would have liked some racing stickers but because of the 3-in-1 aspect I suppose Lego thought we got enough. Go out and buy this set if you agree; I wasn't disappointed. "

Minifig should've been female and doesn't fit car
" As a display piece this is an amazing addition to a racing fan's collection. But as a Lego car it's hard to rate the playability because the minifig doesn't fit with the roof on, therefore it has zero playability. The left arm has to go high and then tuck the windshield under the arm, but then the roof hits the helmet which makes the minifig fall over. The steering wheel is in an odd position (not centered). [I think it's time Lego did away with this piece and reinvented the wheel.] If you've ever seen this car being driven they need 100% concentration to operate and the driver can't be waving at people. There was also a HUGE missed opportunity to depict Michele Mouton. Quick research would have yielded this. Overall this build is sweet on the outside but sour on the inside. I would recommend this to a racing fan but not to a kid who may want to play with the car. "

My first technic set, and I enjoyed it.
" I liked the race car from the 2nd build, but not the truck from the 1st build. I liked the overhead stand from the 1st build, but not the side stand from the 2nd build. I love the big fat tires in the back. This thing really travels when wound up.
The stickers make no sense in the 2nd build because the number 22 is upside-down. Decals are so important in pro race car driving. The other stickers were cool.
There's a mistake in the 2nd build's instructions on step 16. It says you need 5 black pegs when you really need 6. It also ignores an entire orange pin that's needed on the same page (page 11). It's a lot harder to take Technic apart to go back a step than it is to take Lego bricks apart. I do think that more arrows are needed sometimes in the instructions as to where exactly an assembly needs to go. It takes more focus to build Technic, so when there are two mistakes on the page it takes a long time to squint to see what went wrong.
Also, an ongoing problem with Lego is the depiction of the color dark grey, as it appears black in the instructions whether it's the digital or printed version. It's even more confusing the smaller the piece is because of the black outlines used. Maybe Lego can just spell it out in the instructions: "dark grey piece, not black" or something along those lines. Almost every set has this problem and it's been like that for at least 20 years. There's also confusion between white and light grey pieces sometimes.
Overall, I really liked the 2nd build version of this Technic set. I'm glad the connector pins are different colors. Never change that. There needed to be a 2nd sticker option for the 2nd build. Also, I hate orange sets. They never look good. For that reason I'm staying away from the orange Technic Corvette ZR1 and orange Technic Porsche. They might be great sets technically but they look ugly to me. "

Good, but we need a higher limit
" This 48-stud long baseplate is huge and amazing. The price is pretty justified compared to its smaller 32-stud siblings. One problem: we're only allowed a limit of 3 from the Lego website. It should really be a limit of 4, since the shape is a square. Being that this is a flat object it's a sad waste of space to ship out only 3 at a time. It's not a lot to ask for one more, is it? "

Great Value!
" The Good: Good amount of pieces for the price, limit of 50 instead of 3, great gift for achievements/events, great "gift price", good amount of S.N.O.T. bricks, good amount of alternate soft accent colors (pink, turquoise, violet, etc).
The Bad: The stickers are not that great, but you can see that they tried since they give you a lot of them.
The Ugly: Too much yellow. But the inner structural bricks make up for that. This set is great if you need yellow pieces for sculpting. I used them to make a Formula One race car. So far I've bought 4 of these sets, either for future gifts or to add useful pieces to my collection.
5/5 Stars LEGO please make more sets of this nature "

This is my kind of set!
" Nothing in this set is boring in the slightest. There are multiple facial expressions and everything is funny and interactive, even if it's just a mini-figure expansion set. Hopefully this set will inspire fans to build new buildings for these new space people. I love this set so much because I know that both children (mixed siblings included) and adults (with their dioramas) will love the life that is expressed in this joyous collection. Thank you, Lego! "

Too many duplicates!
" This series should be sold as buy all ten for $50. In the 3 packs I ordered from the website I got 2 of the same one, which I already had from buying some from Toys R Us. That or they should have a system where I get all different ones. It may only be $5, until it's $15, which is where I'm at. 3 of the same, it's a bummer and it destroys faith in the company. Minifigure packs should be transparent in the store or we should have the ability to select which characters we want to collect and let the fans decide. This random bag thing needs to stop. I'm feeling up bags in the stores during a pandemic. "

Get this only if you need the pieces.
" Unimpressive build overall. The pieces were nice, the build-"ing" part of it was nice, but the finished product was lackluster. TEN blaster weapons included. Useless unless you're looking for that. TEN! I could've stomached 4 or 6, but ten... ONE extra piece was added in the form of a translucent purple cheese-wedge. If you need the pieces, get this set, but otherwise don't bother. "
