Rather Realistic and good fun too!
" Steering is rather random and unpredictable, just like the real thing! The loader works really well with the dump truck although out of the two sets, get this one first. Struggles on deeper pile carpet or baseplates as the bucket has a tendancy to snag but again, just like the real thing. Loads of action with the tipping & steering. Don't be put off by the size of the box or the pictures either, it's actually bigger than you first think. Great fun.

LEGO City - Dump Truck
Every good construction site needs a heavy-duty dump truck! Fill up the 6-wheeled truck's bucket with big rocks, drive them away, tip the bucket to dump them out, and head back for the next load of rubble. Includes construction site accessories and driver. Tilt the bed and dump the load! Includes 1 construction worker, barrier, rocks and road sign! Measures 8" (20cm) long and 3" (7cm) high

Average.
" Wasn't overly impressed with the dump truck but then they don't do that much in reality so make the most of what you get. Steering is a little sensitive although I do like the detail and you get some rather well thought out build sequences, especially on the cab. Set is well scaled with the front-end loader and you can get quite a bit in the back. Tipping angle is high so there are no issues with material remaining in the trailer. There are however other sets that I would suggest first.

Get ready to build some new houses in LEGO City! Pull out the long flexible hose, rotate the drum to mix the cement and pour it out! Includes worker minifigure and accessories! Cement drum really turns! Truck measures 7" (18 cm) long!

It Really Works
" Brilliant. Being a Construction Projects Engineer no jobsite is complete without a fleet of cement trucks and this one is simply the best i've seen. Turn the handle and the archimedian screw cast into the sides of the drum will draw the material out. Great fun to build and great fun to play with. The cab is well detailed - it's even got steps for the driver to climb up. The hose is a little delicate and doesn't like being restrained so be careful. Doesn't steer very well and struggles on Lego road baseplates. One piece of advise would be to add the drum stickers last, not during the build as suggested in the instructions. But don't let this put you off.

LEGO Construction: Recycle Truck
Keep your LEGO City clean and tidy with this realistic Recycle Truck! Sweep up the rubble then use the double tipping function to collect and unload trash and recycling. Container detaches from the cab! Store the recycle can on the back of the container for easy transport! Use the platform on back to hop on and off! Includes worker minifigure, plus recycle can, cart and accessories! Truck measures 7" (18 cm) long!

Orange Lego! Great!
" Some great detail in the design of the cab however the set didn't work that well. The trailer is quite wide and doesn't tip up far enough to get all of the material out. Getting it in is also a bit hit-and-miss and found that the kids were getting a bit frustrated with it.
Orange Lego however has got to be good for any brick collection. If you have the choice, get the cement mixer first.

A lot of fun for £12
" My 4 year old daughter had this for her birthday and I thought it was so good I got a second one. The 4x4 is a great build and scales really well against regular lego cars. You get loads of detailed elements, the curved panels that form the trailer are really useful for the experienced builder as part of other sets. As with the police station it's hard to tire of the playability of the set.
A great set for boys and girls as well as loads of elements that can be used for the more experienced builder.

LEGO City - Combine Harvester
Climb into the cab of the combine harvester and start harvesting, threshing and baling grain in the fields outside LEGO City! With its huge rotating threshing drum, this vehicle can handle any crop on the farm. Includes combine harvester, 1 minifigure and mug! Lift cab and place minifigure behind the wheel! Threshing drum measures over 10" (25cm) wide and vehicle is 11" (27cm) long!

Wow, it's huge
" Even the size of the box doesn't give rise to the scale of this set. Superbly set out and cleverly detailed. The cab opens up both from above as well as from the sides to allow access for smaller or unsteady hands. As with most modern Lego sets, it builds in sections to enhance playability but this one just seems to keep going.
The working parts are cleverly detailed and set up such that should you get a little bit carried away with it, the gathering roller at the front lifts to follow the contour of the ground. Should you overdo it, the roller simply pops out to protect the finer and more delecate elements. Read some reviews that the drum doesn't work on floorboards - only carpet, can't say that I've had that problem & I have only boards.
Yes you have to drop the bales in from above but any form of 'releasing mechanism' inside the machine would only increase the cost and put it into the £40 bracket. Isn't this feature of having to do it yourself part of what Lego is about?
Only critisism would be the provision of a tow hitch point on the rear and nothing to tow.
It's a great fun set that will make someone very happy however don't be surprised if they have difficulty finding somewhere to park it!

LEGO Police - Police Headquarters
The whole Police Headquarters is on alert to catch escaped prisoners! When you catch the robbers, throw them back into jail. This fun set can be divided in two and arranged however you like it. Includes police headquarters, prison transport truck, car and motorcycle Also includes 5 policeman, 2 prisoners and a police dog, plus lots of accessories Features realistic details, including gates that open, spotlights on roof, command base tower, garage doors that slide open and more! Set includes 2 prison cells with toilets and beds, keys hanging outside the prison cells, and even handcuffs to put on the prisoners! But be careful not to let the prisoners escape through the trick walls! Police Headquarters has rooms for interrogation, a coffee break, computer work, and a refrigerator with water cooler!

Really well thought out
" Bought this for my Daughters birthday as she's been on about it for what seems like years. The numbered bags are a great idea and really do make for instant play. Whilst she put together the cars and the bike I managed to build the cell block. The detail is amazing and she found the lavatories in the cells a source of great amusement. We finished the station about a month ago and neither of us have tired of it yet. According to the lady in the toyshop this set was one of the most wanted sets last Christmas and now I can see why with so much detail and playability you won't regret buying this. Additional dogs can be found on the pick-a-brick site and it's probably worth getting a couple as they fit quite neatly up the vacuum cleaner hose!

Not bad, but 'B' model is better
" First time I've actually preferred the 'B' model to the main feature. The Quad bike is great to build and the front suspension system works more like a 4x4 suspension. Steering is simple but works well however feel that the plastic pannels have replaced a great deal of 'work' that would have been otherwise done with smaller elements - for example, the wheelguards on the telehandler. A well detailed engine which does bring a lot more life to the model however the 'B' model is simply brilliant.

LEGO TECHNIC: Telescopic Handler
Lift nearly anything with this heavy-duty Telescopic Handler! It's loaded with realistic functions that you build right in, including a mechanical actuator that raises and lowers the extending boom, front-end stabilizers, and working four-wheel steering. You can even add 8293 Power Functions Motor Set to motorize the telescoping boom! Turn the knob on back to raise and lower the boom, then flip the switch the extend it! Tilt the front forklift to pick up the cargo pallet! Boom extends over 21" (53cm)! Telescopic Handler measures 15" (38cm) long and 15" (38cm) high!

A lot of thought has gone into this set
" Despite some very minor glitches the telehandler set packs so much that these issues are lost in the background. Yes the forks don't stay level when you lift the boom and the steering is a bit slack when stationary but these are tiny compared the other features. The design of the steering system is a masterpiece and is worth the £60 alone. If you take your time and set the shafts in the set with the right amount of play - dont push the shaft retainers hard up to the brick, the actuator works like a dream and can indeed lift some rather heavy loads (a full tin of beans isn't a problem). A thoroughly enjoyable set with loads of pieces, gears etc. A must have for any technic builder.

A full Days building
" If like me, you enjoy a set that will take a full rainy day to put together then this is the one. It took a full day to build but it's thoroughly enjoyable both to build, and to drive around afterwards. The detailing is superb and the majority of the elements, especially the suspension are as close to the real thing as you are going to get. Like the way in which the simple design of elements, especially the doors, give such a great effect. Get this on your christmas list!!!!!
