Snoopy's Favorite Game.
" My brother's friend got this not too long ago and we all went over to help him build it. Even with the three of us, it took a couple hours. The plane is a collectible, a UCS. It's for display, not play. Expect to zoom it around for a minute using both hands when you've finished, but other than that it's just about it. Snoopy will have to keep using the dog house to be the World War I Flying Ace.
SOPWITH CAMEL: Referred to by my younger brother as the Camel With a Sock. The plane itself has a few features, including rotating propeller and tail fins that can be controlled from the cockpit. To make this all happen, it's actually a pretty complicated build, since so many strings and techninc pieces are involved with the inner workings (which is why I now consider myself an expert LEGO builder, I've been helping friends build some pretty large sets lately, and there's always the Death Star sitting in my room to consider). It's a cool set to get, just know it's for display.
OVERALL: Not an incredibly terrible price range, given that it's big and it's a collector's item. Just make sure collector is what you are. If your little kid wants a plane, check out LEGO City. Thanks for reading, and be sure to check out my other reviews in Star Wars, Marvel, Lego Ideas, and LOTR/Hobbit sets, and see what you think about a few ideas I have for sets that might be mentioned in a few of the reviews. :)

Yippee-ki-ay, Battle Clankers!
" Well, it's not often I get to say this, but LEGO has made a set that is just about worth its price. Yep, you just heard that from me. This set, while small, has playability like you wouldn't believe on its own or with any choice of other clone sets. Let's get down to it.
BARC SPEEDER: Set chunk #1. The rear is pretty much the same build as any BARC, but the front is where it gets interesting, since it has four large red bolts to fire out the front! How cool is that? That alone adds some playability, especially for the younger ones. The BARC is decorated red. I always love these clone speeder bikes.
STAP SPEEDER: Set chunk #2. The STAP is also pretty much the exact same as it's latest predecessors, using what I think is actually a clever way to make a strangely shaped vehicle strapped onto a clear stand so that the droid can zoom about. It is blue and has a Seperatist insignia on the front. Great for battling the BARC.
BATTLE GROUNDS: Set chunk #3. This is just a little bit of rock and plant for the droids or clone to get down behind when taking enemy fire. It can fold up if you want, so it can be a couple different standard shapes. Actually nice to have if you're displaying a battle scene.
MINIFIGURES:
-BARC Clone Trooper: This is where they really hit home. The clone is actually Commander Neyo, a trooper briefly seen in Episode III while Order 66 is having its big effect. He is in fact on a BARC speeder in that scene, so they nailed that one. He has exclusive BARC printing with red maroon colors and a bandolier on his torso and helmet, which also has exclusive styling. His head is the new movie clone head, which I like much better than the Clone Wars styled one. He comes with a blaster and ready to fight droids. Ultimately an awesome clone to have in your Republic army.
-Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids: I'll just kill two birds with one stone here, since we've all seen these Dark Side minions before. One battle droid has a blaster to fight, and the other has two curved arms so he can ride the STAP speeder. The super battle droids have their taller, bulkier appearance with dark gray pieces and thick arms for their blaster hands. Good to keep stocking up on them.
OVERALL: It's a nice little set for the money, and it's really rare to hear that, so I'd go for it! Playability will thrive for the younger ones, and a rare clone will get the collectors going. Thanks for reading, and be sure to check out my other reviews on Star Wars, Marvel, Lego Ideas and Lord of the Rings/Hobbit sets, and see what you think about some ideas for new sets that I mention in a few of them!

...but by our skills with a lightsaber!
" Wow! Could it really be that we haven't seen the movie version of Count Dooku since 2002? Back in the day, right? Like, when LEGO sets were cheaper? Seriously, LEGO, I think you guys are starting to count parts of the images on the box without knowing they aren't actually in the set. This isn't one of the worst ones price-wise, and besides, you guys always seem to figure out how to make an excuse for it, like four exclusive minifigures. Still...I'm warning you...one day...
ROOM ON GEONOSIS: Not really sure of the official name for that, but whatever.... Anyway, like I implied, the room is a lot smaller than the price entails, but it is chock-full of little bits from the duel of Yoda and Dooku in Episode II...the walls can be Force pushed out, as can the toppling pillar Dooku uses to distract Yoda and get away. There is also a docking area for a speeder, though I don't believe any was included unless I was missing a whole bag. Anyways...the coolest part of the set would be that Yoda can attach to a technic pole of sorts (this probably should have been in clear pieces, otherwise it's a little too obvious) and you can maneuver it to have him flip and flop around while battling Dooku. It's a nice little base that can fit in with a few other Star Wars areas, or just count for a place to keep ships when all else fails. Great job, just not $40.
MINIFIGURES:
-Yoda: Well, I was beginning to think we'd never see more than a Clone Wars Yoda ever again. Finally, here we are with a brand new head mold and torso printing for our little green friend. Yoda's head is smiling, and he has a cane and lightsaber (you guys really ought to think about giving him a short blade. It's more realistic). I absolutely love this new version of the Jedi.
-Count Dooku: Well, here we are, and I must say, what a relief to see him without large Clone Wars eyes as well. He has his fancy Count printing on his robes and silver chain around his neck to hold in place his brown cape. He comes with his silver, curved handled red lightsaber and has a white hair piece on his head, that can be either a subtle look or evil smile. It is the same head as what is on Saruman (since Christopher Lee played both characters in the films). Awesome fig!
-Poggle the Lesser: Never expected the Geonosian leader! My brothers and I always enjoyed imitating his clicking speech when we were little. Poggle has a special head mold with a long chin and elderly Geonosian look to him. He has unique bug printing and comes with a cane and a hologram piece of the Death Star. It's actually great to get that, since I missed the Republic Cruiser.
-Assistant Droid: I'm sure there's an official name, but I just went blank. Anyway, the Clone Wars version was a little primitive, but that was a long while ago so we have a new mold for this droid. His head resembles a commando droid's, and he is colored brown, but he has brick built pieces to make him a wheel manipulation droid. Nice assistant for Dooku.
OVERALL: Cool set, just the same little overpricing gig. I really wish LEGO would realize this for themselves. Anyway, I love the Yoda and the Dooku, and it's about time that Episode II Geonosis battle sets made their return, so here's to the kickoff!

The Return of Darth Maul-Fact or Fiction?
" Well, personally, I feel as if the Clone Wars began to go down in Season 3, when the Nightsisters first showed up. They had some good episodes here and there after that, but Ventress and Opress and especially the very much alive Darth Maul really took its toll on me. I mean, he fell hundreds of feet down a pit after being cut in half! We saw the dying look on his face in The Phantom Menace! However, that being said, this is still a great set, especially for those who like Darth Maul (I'll admit I'm partial to the cool robot legs) and Mandalore.
MANDALORIAN SPEEDER: I believe this is the third Mandalore set ever made, and LEGO did a pretty good job. The speeder is mostly flat-based, using a few curved pieces just to get the right form in. The speeder itself can hold up to three people, so Maul and the Mandos all have a place to ride. The speeder lacks a whole lot of features, using a movable cannon and a secret back hatch to pretty much cover that area. It's blue and gray outlook is unfortunately helped by stickers, but Still a great vehicle to add to the bad guys' army.
MNIFIGURES:
-Darth Maul: A great minifigure. His entire look is different than before, not just because he is shirtless but also because he is meant to be from the Clone Wars. He has a scowling, evil face and a muscular torso decorated with the red and black tattoos of the Dathomirian Zabraks. His robotic legs make him taller than most figures, and he's got the horn head piece to top it off. He comes with his red lightsaber and the dark saber (which he stole from Pre Viszla after killing him). Awesome bad guy, actually.
-Mandalorian Commandos: I love these as compared to the old Mandalorians...they just look so much cooler. They have the same helmets as their old compatriots, but with dark gray, black, and red all over their Fett-like armor. Each comes armed with a blaster, and under their helmets is a creepy bad face (same as the old Mandalorians) and one is a slightly more good natured looking soldier. He might be in disguise. Great henchmen to have!
OVERALL: This is a good set, about ten bucks overpriced as usual. Playability is a little low, especially since there's no good guys in the set, but unless you're just starting out, you've got a few of those. Minifigures are great, so when you do get the good guys and their ship, you'll have a fine skirmish going on. Thanks for reading, and make sure to check out my other reviews, including the LOTR Pirate Ship (see what you think about my idea for a set).

Smaug had come...in black with purple eyes!
" The latest Minecraft micro set, the End is a bit less complicated than the last three, since there's not a whole lot of meat in the middle. The End itself is accurate and well built, and has the most room to make things happen in. The 4 Endermen are pretty cool, but the dragon is amazing. For those who like mini Star Wars ship battles, try flying this thing in on a village as if it were the Hobbit, or heck, put it up against a tiny little X-wing! It's just fun to zoom around. As always, the standard cons about the Minecraft sets must be placed: 35 dollars is too much, you have to have Steve or there's no game, so it's kind of hard to play otherwise. I would suggest picking out your favorite Minecraft set, then getting the one with Steve, and calling it quits, unless you really want them all. If you're a LEGO fan of more than just Minecraft, it'll save your money to not get all of them. "

Ssssssss *BOOM*!
" This is certainly the best Minecraft set out there. It has only two mobs, Steve and a Creeper, which is another reason why this set is overpriced. At least make it three like all the others. Just add a sheep in there. Anyway, besides the micromobs there is some trees, a house, mountains, lava and water with some caves. It all depends on how you want to build it, since there is three ways of setting it up (plus anything you can come up with). As said before, $35 is much too expensive for any Minecraft LEGO, this one most of all. But given the rarity, I suppose we can expect it. I like all the Minecraft sets, but let it be known that you have to get this one no matter what else you get, otherwise there's no Steve, and if there's no Steve, there's no game. Great thing to have, though. "

And a lovely little pig...zapped by lightning.
" My brother got this set along with the Village. I won't elaborate on it too much, since it's really a compact, small little set with not a lot to elaborate on. The Nether has several mounds of bricks on top of each other for the top, so on the inside is where it counts; room to place guys and so on. There's also a portal made out of purple and black pieces, so that's fun. However, the Nether is kind of blank in the real Minecraft game, so what could they do? The mobs include two Ghasts (I really hate the noises those things make) and a zombie pigman that can hold a golden sword. He's the best mob in the set, but like I've said before, you really have to have Steve to have any fun with these, because otherwise you've got monsters and NPCs walking around doing nothing. That said, you absolutely don't want these to be 35 bucks, so get the Steve set, then decide your favorite out of the other three (Village, Nether, End) and get that one. Unless Minecraft sets are all you get in LEGO, then it'll save you some cash. Still a good set, though. "

Come out of there, you mangy sea rats!
" Prepare to march on Gondor! This latest set has a good balance of good and bad guys and a fair amount of playability. Let's get down to it, shall we?
PIRATE SHIP: Makes you feel like its 2011 and your back with Jack Sparrow again (with a slightly more Viking feel). The ship does many things that the others did, with firing flick missiles (no idea they had that kind of tech in Middle-earth), dropping anchor, and steering wheel. This ship also has a removal rear section to open up the prison under the helm. It's sails are well done, and its a great and mighty ship to add to your collection. Personally, I will be using it with the Black Pearl and Queen Anne's Revenge, since the scene from LOTR is so brief. But the minifigures is what will get you a bit more pumped.
MINIFIGURES:
-Pirate of Umbar: This guy was never seen in the movie (unless he was in the extended version, that thing is 4 hours long so I still haven't finished it), but he's not a bad figure all the same. His hair is the same as Thorin and Kili's, and he has a bearded face and pirate armor. Not much to say about him, but he makes for more cannon fodder.
-Mordor Orcs: We've seen these before. Mostly the same as Hunter Orcs, save for the legs. They've got a catapult and the standard array of evil Middle-earth weapons. More cannon fodder.
-Aragorn: He's never been seen in a less than sixty dollar set, but oh well, here's another chance anyway! He's got long brown hair and a regular or angry face. He has brown robes featuring the Evenstar around his neck, and is armed with his sword of the king of Gondor. Which is him.
-Legolas Greenleaf: The elf has been seen in two other sets as well, but only the LOTR version has gotten this expensive to buy. He has a green torso with Elvish printing, and a blonde hair piece with elf ears. He has his bow and arrow and a neutral or angry face.
-Gimli: The dwarf was also in a cheaper set as well as being with Legolas in Moria, but he's here again. He has a large brown beard and dwarvish helmet which also completely covers his face save for the eyes. He has a red and gray torso with dwarvish armor printing, and is armed with his axe.
-King of the Dead: I never really liked these guys, but now that they're here, it's okay to have them (though they would be even more useful with an actual Minas Tirith set. I have the full idea layed out for you in the OVERALL section, LEGO). Anyway, the king has a ghostly green look to his entire body, as do his soldiers. He has a skeleton like head and printing, a crow and red cape. A good ally, but only if you have the king of Gondor handy.
-Soldiers of the Dead: There are two, but they aren't too different, save for front torso printing and hand color (one is brown, one is greenish). They have knight helmets that are greenish in color and are ready to serve their leader. Kind of weird for some people since there's no army builder here with this, but just as long as you have other good guys to fight the growing number of Orcs.
OVERALL: This is a pretty cool set, though its based on only a split second attack of the fellowship. So while we can celebrate a new pirate ship and all three of the best heroes in LOTR, I'd like to give LEGO a little idea for a set of Minas Tirith. You know they won't listen, but it's always worth a shot. Anyways, my idea:
-Set name: Minas Tirith Battle
-Contents: A wall of Minas Tirith with your choice of catapult/battle area or gate, maybe a room of Denethor, or both. Probably something for the bad guys too; a battering ram or catapult, or if you really want to please us, give us a Elefant or a Nazgul dragon.
-Minifigures: Let's not go crazy. Denethor, Eowyn, Faramir, and the Witch-king will give us some exclusive figures and higher price (we know that's necessary nowadays). An Orc or two is probably needed, maybe a Gondor soldier, but he's not a have to. I'd also think about adding Gandalf the White and/or Pippin, since they're pretty big in the Gondor section of the movie.
-Price: Depends on the size...it's really more for you guys to figure out, but certainly no more than this set here. Remember: content and figures count!
Anyway, just a little consideration for LEGO to entirely ignore, but to all those who have spent an extra few minutes reading this, I say totally get this, and if you find the need for a Gondor that never happens to appear, just go with Helm's Deep. Thanks for reading!

I will take the Ring to Mordor.
" This is probably the most neutral LOTR set since Gandalf Arrives and Bag End (which is technically Hobbit, so...). While certainly necessary to bump this set down not just the usual ten bucks, but also another five, the well built Elven home and minifigs make it worth the cash.
COUNCIL CHAMBERS: Now, when I first got this, several key pieces were missing, so I was unable to build the arches and roof, but when I saw my friend's I was still able to capture the well done Elven beauty (in the most LEGO sense, of course). Basically what I'm saying is: this really does capture the Rivendell theme. The Council area itself has a total of three chairs (for the three Council members included) that can rotate but are unfortunately decorated with stickers. The table in the center has a spot to hold the Ring, so that Gimli can try to break it, and then, using a push technique hidden under the floor, send him flying. Well done.
MINIFIGURES:
-Frodo Baggins: The most generic figure in the set, however a few key components make even him rare. Firstly, his head has two different expressions, a worried and an angry, when usually there is a determined and a stabbed-by-a-Ringwraith-or-spider face whenever he is wearing his brown adventure robes, which brings up the next point: this time he is without a cape (in Weathertop he had a green one, in Shelob's Lair a faded gray one). He has Sting and the Ring.
-Gimli: We've seen the grumpy yet likable dwarf before in three sets: Moria, the Umbar ship and Helm's Deep, but it is refreshing (as it was with Legolas in Mirkwood Spiders) to see him in a cheaper set. His face is covered by a large brown beard and on top of that his dwarvish helmet. He has a mostly red and gray torso with short legs and is armed with an axe. Love this guy (John Rhys-Davies was also Sallah in Indiana Jones; speaking of which we really needed a Sallah figure in the Indy sets all those years ago, of course it's all in the past).
-Elrond: I must say, LEGO did a fantastic job with this guy's facial features. When he has the narrowed eyebrow face, it looks spot-on. He has one of those fancy capes with a double colored side, one is tan and one is red. His torso is mostly red as well, with Elvish robe printing. He has a special brown Elvish hair piece, which also accounts for his pointy ears. This piece has a silver crown on it. He comes with one of those cool half sword half spear Elvish weapons that those from Rivendell and Lothlorien often use. Awesome, exclusive figure.
-Arwen Evenstar: Who would have thought Liv Tyler would ever be made in LEGO? They did a great job on her figure, with a hair piece very similar to her father's but lacking the crown and a bit more feminine. She has a neutral face and a bit more of a determined face (as if she would be doing any fighting, but since she does come with a bow and arrow...), and periwinkle blue robes with Elvish printing. She has one of those long, extended and slanted brick pieces LEGO cleverly learned to use as women's dresses a while back. She is a great minifig that goes great with Aragorn but must be used to a bit of imagination given she has no action scenes in the film, but these are just LEGOs so go ahead and have at it....there hasn't yet been an Eowyn to tell her no.
OVERALL: This is a good set, necessary for completing your LOTR figure collection but unless you have an imagination (most people with LEGOs do, of course) then don't expect much more than display. A little more overpriced than usual, especially if yours turns out to have some pieces missing, but it's still hard not to like it anyway.

When did Saruman the Wise become so foolish?
" So this is a pretty small set that literally takes up to fifteen minutes max to put together, but for what you get in it, it's got good playability.
THE THRONE ROOM: Basically all you get in the set besides the figures. It is a very simple build, using mostly flatter pieces to build up a room with stairs on the sides. The room includes a back wall with Saruman's throne (which is much the same as the Emperor's throne room in the Death Star). In front of that is a little bit of walking space on all sides, and in the center is Saruman's glass ball with which he communicates to Sauron. A special glass piece slides over a LEGO head decorated on two sides as the Eye of Sauron. It's a lot of fun to mess around with this, especially if you want to build a mini Mordor tower. This is a set without a lot of details, but it's still got playability, as mentioned.
MINIFIGURES:
-Gandalf: This version of Gandalf is a bit more rare than his usual self, as he has long gray hair rather than a hat. Otherwise, he's the same with his gray robes, beard, and his staff.
-Saruman: A good reason to get this instead of Orthanc if he's all you're after. He has white robes and cape, and a black staff with a white tip. His head is the same as Count Dooku's (a little trivia: this is because Christopher Lee is the actor for both Dooku and Saruman) with a subtle face and an evil face. His white hair/gray beard piece slides over like that of Gandalf the White's. This version of him is actually exclusive, because in the Tower of Orthanc, he has a long brick for a more robe/tunic like appearance instead of legs.
OVERALL: This is a lovely thirteen dollar set. The minifigs are great, and so's the throne room for the price. If you're looking for more, find some way to acquire the Tower of Orthanc. But if you can't afford it, go with this, and once you find the Black Gate you'll have enough to have a mini tower to place Gandalf on to be rescued by the eagle. All you'll be missing out on is Treebeard.
