'To defeat an enemy, you must know them...'
" Rebels Season 3 introduces us to one of the best villains: Grand Admiral Thrawn and the tone of the episodes is becoming much darker. Thankfully the ships retain their bright colour schemes.
After Ezra lost the Phantom Mark I, an old Separatist shuttle becomes the Phantom Mark II, after Sabine gives it a paint job. This set captures the small, colourful ship in excellent detail even if it is through the use of 12 stickers.
The build is fun and unchallenging, using an accurate colour scheme and managing to get the unusual shape right. The proportions are a bit off: the shuttle is too small compared to the minifigures and the cockpit should seat two, but it's a sturdy model that looks good on display or perfect for role play. The only slight problem is that the landing legs are not strong enough to hold the ship up very well and they move around a lot.
The minifigures are incredible. Grand Admiral Thrawn is a standout, with detailed torso and face printing. The blue used is a good shade and his red eyes aren't too bright. Kanan is just as good with a new hair piece that incorporates his eye shield. Underneath he has two expressions with his now blind white eyes. Finally Chopper is included and has his own spot on the ship.
This is another great Rebels model from Lego and a colourful addition to a Star Wars collection! "

'Snap's reconnaissance report..'
" This is such a great mini build that captures one of the most iconic Star Wars ships there is and comes with an amazing minifigure.
The micro-fighters line provides quick, fun builds that portray iconic (or more unusual) ships in a small but recognisable form. However, I think one of the main draws of this range are the minifigures. It's a way of getting characters that don't come with the main sets.
The X-Wing looks great and the scissor-wing design of The Force Awakens looks accurate. The cockpit holds Snap without any fear of him falling out. It's fun to 'swoosh' around the room and is a sturdy little build.
Temmin 'Snap' Wexley is a brilliant minifigure with detailed printing and it's awesome to see him in minifigure form. With only a small part in The Force Awakens but a much bigger role in the Aftermath trilogy, Snap is a great character. Snap actually got his nickname from Wedge Antilles. FAN FACT: The actor who plays Snap Wexley in The Force Awakens was the childhood best friend of J.J. Abrams.
Definitely one of the best micro-fighters released and a must have for any Force Awakens collection. "

'You Must Trust Him.'
" I absolutely loved The Lost Commanders episode of Rebels, and it was amazing to see the return of Captain Rex. This set is a fantastic portrayal of the AT-TE that the clones call home.
It's easy to see how Dave Filoni was inspired by Howl's Moving Castle when designing the look of this AT-TE. In a world of grey, this colourful Lego set really stands out. The use of yellow, azure blue, and sky blue along with rusty browns all make this walker look old yet personalised plus accurate to the source material.
The build is very interesting with plenty of detail both outside and the interior. The only repetitive parts are the legs which are pose-able and sturdy. There are quite a few stickers, some of which are large but they are necessary to add even more detail.
The finished model looks amazing on display but has plenty of fun play features including a spring shooter. The model also has it's own Technic carry handle (just like the Imperial Star Destroyer a while back), so is easy to move around. The Phantom will sit on the back of the walker just as it does in Rebels.
The minifigures included are excellent and incredibly detailed. All three of the clones look like their characters and even have the scars printed on their heads where they removed their chips (the ones that made them carry out Order 66). However it is a shame that they didn't come with their helmets. The Fifth Brother is a standout minifigure with his unique helmet and quintessential lightsaber. Why he was included is a little odd since he was on the Star Destroyer and Agent Kallus was the one after the clones. To round things off is an Imperial Stormtrooper who is also accurate with detailed printing.
Instead of the Fifth Brother and the Stormtrooper it would have been nicer to see Zeb or Kanan.
I think this is one of the best Rebels Lego sets released and is a must have for any Star Wars Rebels collection. It's very different from other sets and is a colourful addition to the Lego Star Wars line. "

'I lost my way for a long time...'
" The first episode of Rebels Season 1 started off with a brilliant speeder bike chase reminiscent of Endor. It was a thrilling scene of speed and humour. It's great to see this speeder in Lego form but it has its downfalls.
Overall it's a very accurate model that comes with a good selection of minifigures. This is only a short, easy build but it is interesting and the colours used are a accurate to the source material. The problem is the proportions - Kanan looks tiny compared to the speeder and the crates are massive compared to the stormtrooper. Lego have forsaken proportions for accuracy which in the words of Captain Phasma is : a big mistake.
Once on display it's quite obvious how bad the proportions are, however for play it's perfect because it's a sturdy model which comes with plenty of accessories.
The minifigures are a fantastic selection. Kanan has a very detailed printed torso which captures the look of his shoulder armour quite well. The stormtrooper is a generic Imperial minifigure but is well detailed - and can you have too many stormtroopers? (after all the Empire was a might to be reckoned with). The Imperial combat pilot is only in Rebels and is a very good representation of the character with excellent head printing and a cool helmet.
This is a nice set with a reasonable price although it doesn't look great on display. Whether you add it to your Star Wars collection depends on whether you mind the terrible proportions. "

'...One Quarter Portion'
" This set is in a very similar style to Battle on Takodana. It's a small set with great minifigures but it doesn't quite come together as well as it could have.
The overall idea is fantastic. Star Wars locations are rare as Lego sets and a lot of story takes place on Jakku. The luggabeast is movie accurate with great articulation but the bright azure colour just doesn't work. Either Lego should have used a darker blue or used less of it. It would be easy to improve it using your own bricks but why it was designed like this I don't know.
As for Unkar's stand it just feels so disjointed. The dilapidated, worn and old feeling come across well and the colour palette is true to Jakku, but it's just too small. To really do it justice the build needed to be bigger. The details are nice and include parts for a battle droid, a hidden blaster and rations.
The minifigures are what really makes this set. Rey has detailed printing and comes with her staff. BB-8 is also included but if you want Unkar's thugs then you need to buy another set and a book. Unkar himself is a great, ugly minifigure with a unique headpiece. The Teedo also comes with a unique headpiece and it's staff but in reality it's legs should have been smaller.
This is a nice little set but it's not the best representation of Jakku. However I think this set is worth it just for the minifigures and is a good addition to any Star Wars collection. "

'This Will Begin to Make Things Right'
" This X-Wing is almost exactly the same as Poe's X-Wing, except for the colour scheme and a new play feature. However, I think it's worth owning both because: 1. Can you have too many X-Wings? 2. It comes with an amazing Lor San Tekka minifigure.
The build is relatively easy and interesting. The only repetitive parts are the wings which aren't quite movie accurate. It's a shame Lego didn't try to fix that flaw in this set. The vaporator included will fall over like it does when the blast Kylo Ren freezes finally hits it, startling all the stormtroopers in the vicinity. Another play feature is that the engine of the X-Wing will come out, mimicking it being damaged as in the film.
The minifigures are great. Lor San Tekka's minifigure is detailed and true to the film. However it would have been nice if Lor could have come with the map piece he gives to Poe. It's one of the only Lor San Tekka figures available so is a must have. Poe is wearing his famous jacket rather than his flight suit, so is quite different to the minifigure included in Poe's X-Wing. BB-8 is adorable in Lego form. Finally there's the flametrooper who has a very accurate helmet and is overall very detailed.
This is a great Force Awakens set to have and an awesome X-Wing. The only drawback is the price, but it is still a good set and a fun build. "

'He's Worth a Lot to Me'
" When was the last time Lego brought out a set based on Cloud City? This set has to be the first in a LONG time! It's a fun little set with some good play features and excellent minifigures.
The build is relatively easy and the finished model looks great. It's movie accuracy could be debated - the stairs are leading up to the chamber whereas in the movie they lead down - but this isn't a major problem. The play features are fun, with the largest being that you can 'freeze' Han by turning a knob and twisting the carbonite block around. The other is that you can raise a lift to to reach the freezing chamber. The final play feature is a knob that raises or lowers a piece. I think this is meant to be where Han, Leia and Chewie were imprisoned, and the piece is the extendable 'bed'.
The minifigures are awesome! Han is movie accurate and comes with a dual sided face - one side nervous grin the other side has eyes and mouth closed just as he was whilst being frozen. The only thing is that Han's hair doesn't quite hide the other side of his face. Boba Fett is a movie-accurate and incredibly detailed minifigure. The printing is great along with his jet-pack, cape, perfectly moulded helmet and blaster. Also this is an easier way of getting the bounty hunter as the only other set he's in is the Slave 1, which is much more expensive. Finally, the ugnaught is fantastic and this must be one of the first sets to include an ugnaught minifigure. However, it would have been great if Lando could also have been included.
This is a fun set perfect for role-play with its fun features and great minifigures or as a cool display piece. A must have for all Star Wars fans! "

'An Imperial Probe Droid'
" This set is a great little representation of Hoth and is a fun build that comes with some great minifigures and a movie-accurate probe droid.
The build itself is easy, fun and doesn't use too many stickers. The finished model looks good and it can be displayed in a few different ways as the sections are hinged. The terrain is captured in white, grey and tan bricks which gives a good impression of the Rebel trenches and the detail is amazing with shovels, hydrospanners and power cables. The laser cannon turret can rotate all the way around and as a fun play feature can even 'shoot' lasers.
The minifigures are fantastic and movie-accurate! Han is in his Hoth gear with his big, furry parka and comes with his blaster. He also has a dual sided face - one side happy grin the other grim determination. The Rebel trooper looks amazing in his Hoth uniform and a neat feature is that he can either wear the goggles or they can attach onto his hat. The Snowtrooper is another detailed and movie-accurate minifigure. The Imperial Probe Droid is an amazing design and it's brilliant how Lego have captured it 'hovering' on its repulsorlifts by using clear pieces.
This is an awesome set, perfect for display or for role-play, as there are numerous scenes that could be re-created, with the most famous being Han blowing up that probe droid. A great set for all Star Wars fans! "

'How did we end up in this mess...'
" This small set based on the escape pod from Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope is a fun, enjoyable build that captures quite a small scene in superb detail with great movie-accuracy.
The build is quick and enjoyable with the hardest part being the stickers - of which there are quite a few. However, the finished model looks amazing and the detail is amazing! The stickers provide detail for the outside of the pod and for the window inside from which the Star Destroyer can be seen. There is also a sticker that shows a navigational computer showing landing trajectory. Inside there's room for C-3PO to control the pod and extra space for R2-D2. The engines are movie accurate and provide extra detail to the outside of the pod.
The minifigures are great and movie-accurate. C-3PO is an excellent minifigure with loads of detail as is R2-D2. The two Jawas are actually different because they have different torso prints and they come with their stun blasters. Threepio comes with the Death Star plans which are printed onto a tile. The Death Star plan piece is amazing and movie accurate. FAN FACT: The Death Star plans show the laser emitter in the middle, however when the model was built the laser emitter was moved above the equator line but it was too late to change the graphics so the plans stayed the same even though they were different.
This is a great fun build perfect for playing with or as a wonderful Original Trilogy Lego display piece. A great set for all Star Wars fans! "

First Order Stormtrooper
" The sleek lines and stark white armour of the First Order Stormtroopers is a new, more streamlined design than that of the stormtroopers of the Empire. Lego has done an amazing job of designing and capturing the First Order stormtrooper in this build-able figure.
The build is easy, enjoyable and the finished model looks awesome and movie-accurate. The detail is incredible - from the perfect mould and all the little details of the helmet, to the printing providing lots of detail to the chest armour. The stormtrooper comes with their main blaster that fires a 'laser' which is a fun play feature and a smaller blaster pistol which adds to the movie-accuracy and adds even more detail.
The stormtrooper has brilliant pose-ability and so is perfect for role play or for display. It's sturdy so it would easily stand up to being played with and the blaster adds a great, fun play feature.
This is a brilliant build-able figure and would go perfectly with Captain Phasma. Now all we need is a build-able figure of General Hux to get on Kylo Ren's nerves, to boss around the stormtroopers and argue with Phasma about stormtrooper training! This is definitely a must have for any Star Wars or Force Awakens fan! "
