'Same jacket.' 'No, new Jacket.'
" We only see this ship quite briefly in The Force Awakens, but its scene with Han and Leia makes it very memorable. In design its similar to the B-Wing but this ship is a transporter and not a fighter.
The model is excellent and captures the look of the ship perfectly. There's a huge amount of detail with the use of many stickers, although don't let the stickers put you off. The finished model looks amazing and has some amazing features. There are 2 flaps on the top of the ship that can lift up, revealing the spacious inside. Inside there is plenty of room for all the crew including Leia and Admiral Ackbar with his cup of tea! (Seriously, he does come with a mug) The front of the ship lowers, acting as a ramp and the cockpit opens with the cool little feature of a disc on the side. There are also 2 laser shooters which add a little bit of playability to the set.
The minifigures are amazing and all movie accurate! Leia looks great in her green overalls with purple jacket and if you've got Han from the Millennium Falcon you can re-enact that particular scene with them. There's an amazingly detailed, slightly aged Admiral Ackbar and also two Resistance members with awesome helmets.
This is an awesome model that is a fun build and looks great on display or is certainly very sturdy enough for playing and re-enacting scenes from The Force Awakens. It would go great with Battle on Takodana! A definite buy for any Star Wars or The Force Awakens fan!

'You Need A Pilot'
" The Poe Dameron build-able figure is the biggest (in terms of piece count) in the new range of Force Awakens build-able figures and really captures the character with amazing movie accuracy.
The build is fun, enjoyable and the finished figure looks awesome. The proportions are really good and the detail is extraordinary. Poe's headpiece captures the look of the original character along with his highly detailed flight helmet. His flight suit again has amazing detail through both printed pieces and 4 stickers. Everything about the flight suit has been included, from the air tube, to the bright orange colour, to the smallest detail like the Resistance insignia. Lego have paid very good attention to the smallest of details. Poe also comes with a small blaster and a much bigger blaster capable of firing a 'laser', which is a fun play feature.
The pose-ability of the figure is great (like all the figures in the range) and means that the figure can be used for role-play or can be displayed in numerous poses. The figure is great for play -there are so many scenes that can be re-created from The Force Awakens- and the figure is very sturdy.
This is an amazing build-able figure and one of the best in the range along with Kylo Ren. Definitely a must have for any Star Wars or Force Awakens collection!

'You Are Making a Big Mistake'
" I love Captain Phasma striding onto screen in her chrome armour, red-edged black cape and silver blaster. This figure does a good job in capturing Phasma's character.
The build is easy, enjoyable and the finished model looks great. All of Captain Phasma's proportions are good. Phasma's helmet is extremely detailed, including all the little scratches and dents, and is very movie accurate. Phasma's armour is awesome, with great detail and is finished off perfectly with the black cape with red-edging. The only problem is that Phasma's armour isn't silver - it's grey. The photo makes her armour look silver but in real life it's shiny grey. It doesn't detract from the overall figure but it is a shame that Lego didn't make the armour silver.
Phasma's pose-ability is awesome and is perfect for use in role-play or for being able to display the figure in any position you want. The figure is robust and would stand up to plenty of role-play and Phasma's blaster can shoot a 'laser' which is a fun little play feature.
This is a good build-able figure, although not the best in the range, and I think it would be a 'big mistake' not to add Captain Phasma to any Force Awakens collection.

'I Assume You Need Something - Desperately'
" It's so nice to have a set that's based on a location from The Force Awakens rather than a ship. Takodana is where Maz Kanata's castle is found and where (like the name suggest) a battle between Rey, Finn, Chewie and Han against the First Order takes place.
This is a great set that is a nice easy build and comes with fun play features and amazing minifigures. The build is very enjoyable and manages to capture a lot of detail into quite a small model, with the use of only 2 stickers for added detail. It captures some of Maz's castle and uses a banner over the door to add some movie accuracy (in the movie there are hundreds of banners). There's also a secret compartment for Luke's old lightsaber which adds even more movie accuracy.
The play features include the ability to 'destroy' the model. The first is to be able to push out studs over the steps leading up to the castle, as to give the impression of the steps being blasted by a laser. The second is to be able to knock over a tree, which could happen more than one way (being blasted or by using the Force are two options). The third is to be able to 'knock' down two of the walls that have been blasted. Finally there's a little piece you can turn to reveal the hidden casket in which is Luke's old lightsaber (which Maz somehow managed to get hold of).
The minifigures are the best thing about this set. Included are Finn, who is no different to his minifigure from the Millennium Falcon except that he comes with Luke's old lightsaber, Maz Kanata who is extremely movie accurate and simply a wonderful minifigure, FN-2199 or the First Order Stormtrooper with the riot control weapon (the stormtrooper who yells 'Traitor!' to Finn and whom Finn battles), another First Order Stormtrooper, and Kylo Ren who now comes with a face and hair (which his minifigure didn't have prior to the release of The Force Awakens), and his mask and his tattered cape, and is amazingly movie accurate!
This is a brilliant set and it's a great little representation of Maz's castle. It's wonderful for role play -there are a multitude of re-creatable scenes- and also looks great on display. It's a great location set and is a must have for any Star Wars or Force Awakens collection!

'That's Not How the Force Works!'
" This new range of The Force Awakens build-able figures sees all of the main characters from the film captured in Lego form.
The Finn build-able figure is very well designed, well proportioned and very movie accurate. His jacket (borrowed from Poe) are printed pieces that add to the detail of the figure and do a great job in capturing the likeness of the original jacket. Finn also comes with the blaster given to him by Han Solo, which shoots a 'laser', which is a fun play feature. Finn's head piece captures the look of the character fabulously and is well proportioned to his body. The only slight problem I have with the figure is why Lego gave Finn the lightsaber. He doesn't use it much in the film and I think Rey should have been given it instead.
The build is straightforward although it's more similar to Technic than normal Lego. The finished model looks amazing and is very pose-able (like all the figures in this range), which means you can display Finn in any pose you like or can re-enact all the scenes from The Force Awakens. An added play feature is that his right arm can spin, when a wheel on his back is turned. A fun feature that's perfect for role play. Thankfully the wheel on Finn's back doesn't protrude out as much as Rey's, so it doesn't detract from the overall finished model, which it does with Rey.
All in all this is an amazing figure that's perfect for role play or for display and is a must have for any Force Awakens collection!

'May The Force Be with You'
" This build-able figure of Rey is stunning in every way. The proportions are brilliant and the detail and movie accuracy is amazing! Lego have done a really good job with this new range of The Force Awakens build-able figures.
The build is relatively easy, although it's not like 'normal' Lego and very enjoyable. The finished figure looks fantastic and the head-piece really captures Rey perfectly. Rey is in her Jakku outfit, which is created from plastic pieces and great quality felt for added movie accuracy and detail. Rey's head-piece has her wearing her scavenging mask and she also comes with her multi-purpose staff (she uses her staff for a lot of things in the movie). Also included is Rey's chrome blaster given to her by Han Solo which just adds to the accuracy of the figure. It would have been nice if Rey could have come with her lightsaber (the blue one that was Luke's) but Lego have given that to Finn instead.
Rey's pose-ability is excellent and means that the figure is perfect for role-playing or it can be displayed in a multitude of poses. A neat little feature is that Rey's right arm is completely move-able by turning a wheel on her back, which is a fun feature that's well thought out. However the wheel that you turn protrudes quite a bit from Rey's back which detracts from the overall look from behind. With the Kylo Ren figure, this was hidden by his cloak, but unfortunately with Rey it's quite a bit more noticeable.
I think this is a great figure and a must have if you're collecting the whole range or just some of the figures. Perfect for any Star Wars fan!

'I Have Been Trained in your Jedi Arts'
" Out of the whole first range of Star Wars build-able figures, I think General Grievous is one of the best. To start off with he is massive! The picture doesn't do justice to just how big he is. General Grievous is also very movie accurate and his design and proportions are amazing.
Due to his size, General Grievous is also one of the most challenging figures to build but the finished model is worth the effort. His pose-ability is great although not without limits. It can be a bit hard trying to get him in a pose that's stable as the model is quite heavy. His head-piece is awesome and captures the character perfectly and accurately to the movie. The chest-piece has brilliant printing, showing both Grievous's armour and his organs underneath. The design of how his arms can connect together and come apart is fabulous and means he can wield his famous 4 lightsabers. It would have been cool if Grievous could have come with his cape for added movie accuracy.
His pose-ability is great and if you have the Obi Wan Kenobi figure then you can act out all the battle scenes from Revenge of the Sith. General Grievous is a brilliant figure and definitely one to add to any Star Wars collection!

'I'm Luke Skywalker'
" Although the Luke Skywalker build-able figure is perhaps the simplest out of the first range of Star Wars build-able figures, I think he is worth adding to your collection.
As a finished model, it looks rather good. The proportions aren't perfect but the detailing and movie accuracy is great. The build is easy, enjoyable and the finished model is very pose-able. Luke comes with his Return of the Jedi outfit and green lightsaber. Only the chest-plate is printed but that makes sense as Luke's black Jedi outfit was very simple. His head piece is better than the photograph makes out, but it seems slightly too small compared to his shoulders (Darth Vader suffers from the same proportion problem). True to the film, one of Luke's hands is real and the other one is his mechanical hand.
The pose-ability of the figure is great and if you have the Darth Vader figure then you could easily act out many scenes from Return of the Jedi. For added playability and movie accuracy, Luke also comes with a pair of handcuffs. The only thing I don't get is why Luke also has a blaster? As a fully fledged Jedi Knight he has no need for such an 'uncivilised' weapon as Obi Wan would say.
I don't think this is the greatest of the build-able figures from this range but I don't think he's as bad as the photo makes out and he is worth adding to your Star Wars Lego collection.

The Millennium Falcon
" The Millennium Falcon is one of the most iconic ships from the Star Wars universe, from 'What a piece of junk!' to the 'Fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy!', and it plays a pivotal role in The Force Awakens.
Every time Lego bring out a new Millennium Falcon they improve it and The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon is no exception. The model has a brilliant, sleek design with a load of detail on the inside and out. The inside details include the Millennium Falcon's hyperdrive, seating area for the passengers and crew, the dejarik (holochess) board, sleeping quarters, Han Solo's secret smuggling compartments, and plenty of crates, boxes, wires, and tubes to give the Falcon it's famously untidy appearance. The cockpit can seat two minifigures and includes the Falcon's controls.
The exterior of the Millennium Falcon is again highly detailed. Each of the flaps making up the exterior can flip up to reveal the interior which is an excellent piece of design. The detailing is amazing and completes the Falcon's famously shabby, untidy appearance on the outside. What makes this Force Awakens Millennium Falcon different is the radar dish. In Star Wars Episode VI Return of the Jedi, the Millennium Falcon lost it's round radar dish. This has now been replaced by a curved rectangular dish.
The Millennium Falcon also comes complete with its quad cannons. The quad cannon on top can lift up to reveal seating inside for two minifigures to control the cannons. At the front of the Falcon are integrated two laser shooters, which add to the fun and playability of the model.
The build is very enjoyable although slightly challenging. The finished model looks amazing as both a display piece or for playing and acting out all the scenes from the Force Awakens.
The minifigures are truly fabulous and are all movie accurate! Included are Rey in her Jakku outfit with chrome blaster, Finn in his black Stormtrooper outfit with a Resistance jacket, an older Han Solo with famous blaster, Chewbacca with a new and movie accurate cross-bow blaster that can shoot studs, Tasu Leech and a Kanjiklub Gang Member. If you've seen the Force Awakens then Tasu Leech and the Kanjiklub Gang Member are included for reason and it makes sense that they come with this set. Finally we also get BB-8 who is a very lovable and loyal droid of the Resistance.
This set is extraordinary in both design and detail and is a must have to add to any Star Wars Lego collection!

Kylo Ren's Command Shuttle
" Kylo Ren's command shuttle features a lot during the Force Awakens and has a similar design to the Original Trilogy Imperial shuttles. It's best feature is it's ability to fold up the wings for flight and to fold down the wings when landing.
This Lego set achieves that ability to fold the wings up and down, whilst still capturing the shape and accuracy of the model. The build is slightly challenging due to a lot of technic pieces being used to achieve the wings and to be able to open and close the cockpit, however the finished result is amazing! When finished it looks just as it does in the film and makes a great display piece and it's sturdy enough to be 'flown' around. Incorporated into the wings are laser shooters which add to the playability of the set. The attention to detail is great - from the engines and the ingenious wings, to the interior of the cockpit with all it's controls. The only problem is that the inside of the cockpit is quite small and so you're limited to how many minifigures you can place inside.
The minifigure selection is awesome! The new Kylo Ren minifigure is completely movie accurate, with tattered cape, brilliantly detailed helmet, and cross-guard lightsaber. The only slight negative is that Ren's helmet does seem slightly oversized but that's very minor and it's probably that way to allow for all the detail. General Hux is again very detailed and movie accurate. Also included are two First Order Crew minifigures along with a female First Order Officer. Finally there is a First Order Stormtrooper Officer with the new First Order Stormtrooper helmet, which is much sleeker than the Original Trilogy helmets.
This set is truly amazing and one of the best in the Force Awakens range. It's very movie accurate and the new minifigures and both movie accurate and amazing! This is a must have for any Force Awakens fan!
