Turkey for the dinosaurs
" Regarding #40309, there are items that I never had in the boxes we bought (e.g. grapefruit/pomelo slice, chocolate bars, turkey).
I see the Xtra polybags as a complement to our sets. No matter what the theme is (City, Jurassic World, Super Heroes, etc.), they blend in well. Unlike a vehicle set, there is an advantage to buy more than one in this case. Having double or triple foods allows you to make a bigger table for the guests or to create a vegetable garden, an outdoor market, etc.. Also, dinosaurs need to eat more than one turkey a day.

Ready to drive or to costum for your need
" My son is too young to know anything about superheroes, so he appreciated the set for aspects that are specific to his age (2 years old).
For his part, the truck equipped with a drill had a nice feature. For Robin's car, he said that it was the red and green colors that he liked. In both cases, the vehicles were the perfect size for his hands.
In general, my son guesses right who's the bad guy and who is the good guy by seeing the face on the minifigurine. You don't have to read the comics to understand at a young age.
For my part, I understood why minifigurines had small legs. The dimensions of the vehicle don't allow it. I'm a bit behind schedule with the Mighty Micros that I didn't buy initially. A few years later, I realize that the collection has DC supervillain minifigurines that have never been on the market since then. By the way, the rear spoiler on Robin's vehicle is a printed part. It's the only Robin vehicle we have that has that, so the part can be used to create your own Robin vehicle that looks legit and amazing!! No need to ask Batman's permission. "

Chase McCain against the unfamous crook!
" I had completely forgotten, but before the wave of LEGO City minifigurines in 2020, there was another one with a name: Chase McCain!
It's a perfect set for the price! You get a big helicopter, a police car, a car stolen by the crook. It's a lot of action in sight!
Is the crook in the 60206 set too? If so, he's building a legend! It's a character that comes back often! He's going to need a name! He's probably not the greatest criminal of all time, but the one who's been arrested the most often!
In any case, there is a cable and a grapple that allows the helicopter to stop the red car. The bandit is at the wheel and we can see that he is on the run with two 100$ bills and two gold bars!
On the picture, we see the helicopter and the police car coming from the set. I had time to stick the stickers on the car, but my two years old son hurried to stick the others on the helicopter laughing because he was faster than me. It's a moral dilemma with stickers: should I stick them on as soon as possible or should I let my son put them on the LEGO or somewhere else! For him, stickers are a source of happiness!

T. rex and hot dogs
" We built this set back in March 2020. So I'm writing my evaluation almost a year later with a little personal reflection as a parent.
Can LEGOs help children face fears? I think it's very likely because we went to the museum and the T. rex really scared my young son. This happened before I bought this set. At first the T. rex was mean/bad, but as the weeks went by, he was no longer afraid to play with it. I could draw a parallel with Hidden Side because he was never afraid of ghosts.
Coming back to the set itself, it's awesome. At first I didn't think the box was thick, there's everything to make hours of games full of funny memories with a hot dog eating T. rex.
As usual, I like all the printed bricks, so I liked the fact that this set was done uner the Juniors series, otherwise we would have ended up with stickers!

Typical day at Jurassic World
" Surprisingly, there is no Owen in this set!
Jurassic World's employees are here, and it's their typical workday where they fly near a dangerous volcano and where there is always a pteranodon near!
We built the set at the end of March 2020. I didn't see any issue nor my son. I would add that helicopter propeler works perfectly with a 2 years old.
The pteranodon is from the same mold that made all the previous pteranodon. One day, I would like to see one with its feet under the belly instead of being deployed near its tail. "

Safety comes from the chicken
" Owen wasn't the main reason I wanted to buy the set! Drumroll .... it was for the dinosaur! A velociraptor in a different colour! We are starting to have a nice dinosaur collection now. The park at Jurassic World is starting to look realistic.
As for the truck, it is quickly assembled and we can play with it immediately. The cage is removable, you can leave it on the truck or put it on the ground. The LEGO humour is also present with the chicken at the end of the stick, nothing better to attract a carnivorous dinosaur (and be safe)!
Owen is a bit like Spider-Man, he's in every set! How many Spider-Man and Owen do you have? I stopped counting them! One day I'm going to use them for a project! "

Christmas spirit
" Very impressive and full of little bricks, but I didn't have the patience to wait a few years to build it with my young son! So I built it in a hurry last December 2019!
On the construction side: you end up understanding and building faster because everything is symmetrical. There is a repetition that you end up mastering.
Playability: you can turn the carousel with the 'crank', but I can tell you that my son quickly took out the little trains to play with them! Once completed, I kept it for several months as a decoration on the entrance table because it's beautiful and doesn't take up any space.
The set represents the holidays and Christmas' spirit: its colours, but also the (Christmas) magic. I would say that even parents find a youthful spirit while building it; I couldn't help thinking about some Christmas when I was younger when I assembled it.

Move, please! Don't stand in our way!
" Back in 2020, my young son was really into trucks and tractors and I didn't see this type of vehicle in any LEGO City or Jr. on the market, so I started looking at older models. As soon as I saw it, I bought it without too much hesitation because I knew the theme would be a winner.
In terms of complexity, it was the model with the most parts I had assembled at the time. I give it 5 stars out of 5 for the joy of assembling this kit. For my part, I liked it because it has surprises in store for us. If you think that the tracks do all the work when driving, you are mistaken! I won't say any more.
I don't know if I should draw this conclusion, but since my son always took the mufflers off, I think that's what he liked the least! The model was better looking without it, I would say!

In terms of playability, it's a 5 out of 5 star rating for us. It was also very solid because my two year old son used to play with it. The kit comes with an old wall to push on the ground so we can make demolition scenarios. By the way, you'll find a wheelbarrow in the box, which is quite rare!

Prisonner has escaped (again!)
" As a dad of a young son, I fully stand by those 4+ sets! Building it is easy and it takes no time (15 to 20 minutes in this case), thus my 2 years old son helped me a lot with it. Of course past the middle, his focus decreased, but as soon as it was finished, he took it from my hands and started playing with it!
What did my son like about this set? I asked him, but I didn't get an answer :)
I know that he liked the escaped prisoner and the jet.
If it has some wheels under, he always tends to play more with it.
On my side, what can I say, I had fun building it together. The bottom piece of the jet is one huge molded brick. LEGO used specific brick molds that reasulted in a lower total of bricks.
The visor of the jet's pilot is not seen often in sets, in fact, it's our first one.
It is totally unrealistic to have a jet arresting a bandit, but totally LEGOrealistic to do so and my son is quite happy with it :)
Talking about the prisonner 50380, I believe that I have seen him in other City police sets. The number on his shirt is not a LEGO set number, it would have been a fun Easter egg! I haven't figured out its meaning yet.

The perfect toolkit for starters!
" This set was one of the first models we builts (2nd one I think). My 2 years old son immediatly liked Emmet's car. Big wheels and bursting fire were a winning team!
He still hasn't seen the movie but he knows Emmet and Benny!
So I ended up playing with Benny... I mean everytime. No time sharing with Emmet, watsoever!
Building everything was easy, fun and fast! Within no time we could play!
Now about everything that you may know or not.
Tools: it has the perfect toolkit, we haven't come acrosss a set that has this many tools. So I will say that it is quite unique.
Printed bricks: as always awesome, it will last forever!
Benny has 2 vehicules: since the spaceship has no wheels under, he often drove his other vehicule :)
